The main objective of the Global Sciences Business Technology team is to deliver innovative technological solutions that empower the Therapeutics Discovery and development organizations within JJIM. Our aim is to facilitate the creation of innovative medical solutions that effectively address crucial unmet medical needs. These needs encompass various fields such as oncology, immunology, and neuroscience, among others.
To achieve JJIM R&D goal of growing the number of internally originated drugs brought to the market, it is necessary to enable expedited exploration of a larger and more diverse molecular space. This can be achieved through the implementation of automation, utilization of novel modalities, profiling approaches, and the application of data science. The success of these endeavours is dependent on the presence of technology platforms that facilitate automated laboratory systems, seamless integration and analysis of generated data, and provide valuable insights and decision-making support to researchers.
The Senior Analyst, Technical Product Management will join the R&D Business Technology organization to support the High Dimensional Biology and Bioinformatics team. This team specializes in high dimensional biology data, including omics and high content imaging. Among others, this role will deliver effective scientific IT solutions to teams specialized in high throughput transcriptomics, proteomics, high-content imaging and cryo-EM technologies, with a focus on alignment and harmonization of technologies across teams.
To effectively deliver technology solutions for the high dimensional data teams, the candidate needs a basic understanding of the scientist's responsibilities and challenges. Therefore, in addition to a technology background, a reasonable knowledge in biology and/or bioinformatics will be beneficial in comprehending the specific needs of the scientist. This knowledge helps the candidate to design and develop solutions that align with the scientific workflows, such as data processing pipelines, data analysis tools or visualization platforms. It also facilitates effective collaboration and communication between Therapeutics Discovery and Business Technology, leading to more tailored and impactful solutions.
Responsibilities
- Responsible to define, scout, implement and champion new data-driven and scientific IT approaches across Therapeutics Discovery globally.
- Support cross-site, multi-disciplinary projects with both internal and external partners.
- Identify and drive opportunities to enable the modernization of modality agnostic decision-making.
- Promote the engagement and commitment of team members and ensuring excellent communication between researchers, developers, and suppliers.
- Define project goals and manage risks/budgets to ensure impact, including post project evaluations and communicate accordingly to stakeholders.
- Evaluate and communicate the strengths and weaknesses of business processes. Identify new business requirements and develop the business change strategies to address the needs of partners by improving information systems, procedures and championing organizational change.
- Support the coordination of external vendors and deployment partners to ensure they meet their contracted milestones, agreed-upon timelines, and metrics using visualizations to communicate more complex data relationships and trends.

Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Computer Science, Data Science or related subject area is required, with confirmed experience to work with informatics and scientific IT applications.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience enabling use, development and maintenance of scientific IT systems within the pharmaceutical discovery.
- Demonstrable ability to be bilingual in both science and technology is a must.
- Experience with management and process of high dimensional biology data. Particularly, experience with high-throughput transcriptomics, proteomics, high content imaging or cryo-EM is preferred.
- Foundational skills in IT, showcasing proficiency in areas such as database management, data engineering, cloud computing, and IT architecture.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms solutions such as Snowflake is a plus.
- Experience in working with sophisticated data solutions in an Agile/Scrum, Cloud-based environment, and deployments at a global scale is preferred.
- Ability to generate and communicate complex metrics, using data visualization tools such as Spotfire or Tableau is preferred.
- Strong Business Sense & Interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate with business partners to understand business requirements.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, multiple partners, multi-functional teams, and evolving needs.
- Demonstrable competence to influence, negotiate, and build collaborative partnerships and trust across functions.
