Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a Leadership Learning Portfolio Lead (New Consumer Health Company). This position will be in New Brunswick, NJ, but will be considered for remote work.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Consumer Health business to create a new publicly traded company. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 24 months, and it will be subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as required, and other customary conditions and approvals.      

It is anticipated that, following the conclusion of the transaction, this position may be conveyed with New Consumer Health. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to the successful candidate by New Consumer Health at an appropriate time and would be subject to any necessary consultation processes.   


  • The Leadership Learning Portfolio Lead will play a critical role in managing the end-to-end strategy, planning, and execution of learning solutions within the Leadership Learning Portfolio, developing our leaders through innovative experiences that align with business strategy and embeds learning in their flow of work 
  • Collaborate effectively with global learning partners, business leaders, HR, and other key stakeholders to understand needs and determine appropriate solutions to meet those needs 

  • Design and develop leadership learning portfolio roadmap and programs in partnership with key stakeholders 

  • Provide expertise in innovative learning design, development, curation, and deployment approach that is aligned to the learning strategy 

  • Develop deployment plan/schedule for assigned areas based on demand plan and priorities 

  • Deliver or support in the delivery of training as needed, such as train-the-trainer or facilitation 

  • Measure and evaluate impact and effectiveness, and update solutions in alignment with strategy 

  • Manage on-going deployment (e.g., ILT, VILT, etc.) and updates to ensure alignment with business requirements 

  • Coordinate strategic planning to understand learning needs and annual demand plan that informs budget allocation / prioritization; Manage resource allocation process based on demand plan 

  • Connect with internal and external partners on the latest market research to stay abreast on trends and learner needs; uses insights to shape future programs and solutions 

  • Gather requirements for vendor engagement needs; accountable for managing vendor relationships, measuring and ensuring optimal effectiveness 

  • Participate in a community of practice with internal stakeholders and learning leaders across the business 

  • Support initiatives to enable learning culture and innovation 

  • Building and establishing relationships with the immediate team across the organization, characterized by a high level of acceptance, cooperation, and mutual respect 

  • Forges relationships outside of the organization that supports individual growth and/or business success

  • Serve as an Integrator by identifying opportunities across groups and ideas to think holistically and develop end-to-end solutions 

  • Establish Learning & Development Trends, by staying abreast with the latest developments & learning theories (locally and internationally) and implementing these into the organization when applicable 

  • Ensures learning programs become more sophisticated in method with the emergence of new technologies 

  • Implement Learning Analysis & Reporting, by utilizing learner analytics to measure if training programs are effective and efficient 

  • Utilize data to further the development of the curriculum 

  • Foster a Learning Culture, by promoting a culture of learning to maximize employee potential, attract talented employees and improve tenure within an organization 

  • Ensures the investment in learning programs achieves the intended outcome 

  • Encourage Learning Development, by designing global learning (including eLearning) solutions by applying adult learning principles and innovative strategies using up-to-date technologies and methods  

  • Selects and utilizes training/instructional methods relevant to the situation when teaching others new concepts  

  • Adapts as the situation dictates 

  • Demonstrates Operational Excellence, by continuously driving enhanced effectiveness and efficiency 



  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree 
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR or HR-related experience 

  • Experience gathering /shaping business requirements and defining learning strategy, design, and operations 

  • Instructional design expertise: requires assessment, design, and development of programs 

  • Experience working with and leading complex, global teams on large learning projects with the proven ability to work, influence, be inclusive and communicate effectively across all levels within an organization 

  • Strong Digital skills: PowerPoint, Excel/Project management tools, MS Teams, and other Microsoft Office applications as needed 

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively, including the ability to influence without direct authority 

  • Vendor Management experience is required 

Preferred Competencies: 

  • An advanced degree; preferably an MS/MA in Human Resources, Adult Learning, Organization Development, Organizational Behavior, Organizational Psychology, MBA, or related field 
  • Instructional design certification  

  • Experience in Digital capability development  

  • Experience in Consumer Health / Healthcare industry 

  • Strong People leadership skills
