We are currently recruiting for an IT TS Manager – SAP S/4 HANA Supply Chain Product Lead Engineer and Chapter Lead for Project Implementation and Application Maintenance to be based in São Paulo or São Jose dos Campos.
This individual will lead a team that performs Corporate Systems support, enhancements and projects for the Johnson and Johnson organizations in Medical and Pharmaceuticals. This will include projects, enhancements, incidents, break-fixes, service requests and problem management. This person will ensure continuous improvement in the delivery for those applications. He/she will be managing ongoing relationships with the Technical Product Owner, Business Product Owner and other Chapter Leads in Latin America.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Product Lead Engineer:
- Deliver support, enhancements and projects across Latin America focused mostly on SAP Supply Chain area, ensuring that the project under his/her leadership is delivered on time, on budget and meets compliance requirements.
- Analyze business needs, develop/propose solutions and estimate/quote projects
- Partner with IT Technology Services peers in other regions so that best practices and standardization are applied to LATAM platforms, lead and facilitating effective meetings across a global space
- Provide regular and detailed appropriate reports back to stakeholders and at all levels of management and staff about the status of the delivery.
- Responsible for overall Engineering and Technology architecture definition, roadmap, and technical decisions for the product in coordination with the Product Owner, Product Group Engineer and BU Architect. Accountable for ensuring that technical implementation is aligned to the BU Architecture vision, economic framework and business needs
- Work closely with the Business Product Manager to define Product strategy/vision
- Work with squads to problem-solve SAP technical challenges and implement solutions, using the squad technology strategy as a guide; is “hands-on-keys” coding while also supporting system/design/code reviews for squad – inclusive of assembling, writing and approving enablers
- Drive development and selection of technical solution options (from the approved list of solutions) and test concepts / potential solutions with users
- Negotiate technology options with business partners and collaborate with platform/product teams to identify opportunities to leverage platforms
- Manage development and review cadence, align tech landscape across squads to promote reusability, scalability and modularity
- Monitor product / platform developments and drive leading engineering practices for higher tech quality
- Own the technology lifecycle management and Product API catalogue, including the definition, creation, and maintenance of technical interfaces
- Observe technology trends across the industry and conduct research spikes for new capability and innovation opportunities
- Ensure timely adoption of new technologies and innovation, select and resource ideas to explore via ideation sessions where necessary
- Help Product Owners/Lead Engineers prioritize technical backlogs (across squads) and coach / mentor product and squad members
- Works with squads and other Product Lead Engineers to manage risks and solve, escalate, and track cross product dependencies and impediments
- Be the single point of contact for ISRM, TQ (Q-CSV), vendors, and enterprise platform owners
As a Chapter Lead:
- Motivate Chapter Members to drive innovation, remain updated with latest technology to support chapter vision
- Develops and evangelizes Chapter practices
- Responsible for managing and developing team members under their management by identifying skills gaps and needs within chapter and attracts the industry’s top talent; monitoring and optimize performance of chapter services; interviewing and onboards talent as required
- Sense and quantify demand forecasts, execute member allocation between squads buy/build/borrow the right skills
- Mentor, design individual development plans, and track professional growth for chapter members
- Act as a point of escalation for resource issues, chapter member performance
- Provide expertise and ensure the application of appropriate standards to the product group
- Act as a reference in their specialty, point of escalation for highly complex problems at the squad and product group level
- Lead training events and support the development of chapter specific resources/ knowledge, drive continuous learning
- Builds a backlog of continuous improvements and helps drive the Chapter Area
- Design and apply procedures and standards according to organizational alignment and the product group’s demand
- Act as a team member within a squad, by participating in squad dynamics and ceremonies within the specific squad they are assigned to
- Use their expertise to deploy better solutions that are aligned with the squad’s backlog and squad OKRs
- Focus squad efforts on tasks managed and prioritized by the Product Owner

- B.A. / B.S. degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or another related field
- Solid IT experience in a corporate environment supporting SAP (S/4 HANA or ECC) systems and solutions
- Experience on SAP S/4 HANA transformation ( Greenfield and/or Brownfield)
- Significant experience in SAP project management and related operations, able to take initiative and drive projects to successful completion
- Experience in management of critical path, issues, risks and dependencies
- Experience in SAP Supply Chain (Order to Cash, Plan, Make, Source) related projects being able to apply expertise to solve business problems, identify risks, and propose mitigations
- Extensive experience in Agile Development is required including team creation, leadership, product / platform standards, governance processes, and change management.
- Previous people management experience (direct or indirect leadership)
- Strong customer focus, ensure we have the right products to proactively resolve customer issues
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to build relationships with key stakeholders
- Execution-oriented to fulfill short-term needs and strategic thinker to anticipate future needs
- Experience working on global teams
- Fluent knowledge of English
