a Director, Abiomed Deliver EMEA (m/f/d)
Location: Aachen Germany
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Deliver, the Abiomed Deliver EMEA leads and runs the Customer Service and Distribution organizations supporting our patient-first mission and our business objectives.
This role directs and coordinates critical Warehouse, Distribution, and Service standard operating procedures, key performance measures, and end results. Controls high-level departmental delegation for warehouse material movement and the subsequent processing and shipments of all finished goods and services in compliance with regulatory agency protocols, quality standards and applicable local and federal regulations.
The role also facilitates operational initiatives that combine business plans with functional strategy that have the best short-to medium-term impact on the customer service unit. Develops processes for the productivity and efficiency of the customer service department, with comprehensive management experiences across multiple fields within the corporate organization or sector.
The role will coordinate the receiving, product kitting (PTO), shipping, prep-to-sterile, stockroom, materials handling, order-to-delivery, revenue recognition, and master data processes!
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Elevate the patient and customer experience
- Build and implement the EMEA Deliver strategy
- Drive and innovate Deliver capabilities
- Lead all aspects of the EMEA-based logistic function including shipping, receiving, and final kitting (PTO)
- Lead the order management and distribution of products flowing into the EMEA and APAC regions and the strategy to support the significant growth projections for this region
- Identify and realize cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities
- Help progress the Deliver infrastructure and technology strategy and framework
- Orchestrate business and long-range financial planning
- Craft the DELIVER product flow and network
- Support and accelerate new product introductions
- Supervise metrics and continuous improvement
- Handle risk, ensure quality, compliance, and sustainability
- Drive talent development and Diversity, equity and inclusion
- Partner with the global support functions for logistics engineering and supply chain system business process
- Partner with IT, HR, Finance, Quality, Legal, and relevant business areas in support of the overarching business strategy and tactical plan.
- Plan and implement scale-up and lean initiatives in EMEA-based Logistics to improve service and performance.
- Advises senior managers, managers, and senior individual contributors and is accountable for relevant career development conversations, mentoring and feedback
- Responsible for running operational aspects of their teams (e.g., budget, performance, and compliance), as well as implementing workforce and succession plans to meet business needs.

Qualificações
- BS in Engineering, Operations/Supply chain management, customer Service, and/or related field is required, MBA/MS preferred
- 10+ years of demonstrated experience in service, distribution and/or transportation organizations is required
- 10+ years of dynamic hands-on operations leadership experience and/or technical management experience in a supply chain setting is required
- Experience as a strong innovator and leader with the ability to inspire change is preferred
- Experience successfully leading multi-level organizations is required
- Preference for candidates with multiregional and/or global responsibility
- Excellent communication skills are required
- Fluent in English, German preferred
- Experience with SAP knowledge highly preferred
- Continuous improvement, lean-six sigma experience is preferred
- Ability to travel is required
Scope:
- Is responsible for logistics and distribution operations of over 200MM in revenue
- Leads leaders of people leaders handling a group of over 35 team members
