Role Description
The Lead, Employee Engagement and Communications is responsible for the design of employee communication strategy for Johnson & Johnson MedTech China by leading the Employee Communications & Engagement Team. She / he will also lead the implementation of impactful, innovative and engaging communication programs to reinforce organizational imperatives and support business success. She / he will also sit in the JJMT China Innovation Committee to lead all the communication strategies and programs to accelerate the JJMT China innovation journey and also to design highly effective learning programs to empower the employees across all levels in the organization to build innovation capabilities.
Partnering with business leaders and teams, this individual will be responsible to develop a cohesive internal communication strategy that aligns with the global GCA strategies to foster the value and impact of employee communication within the organization.

Job Responsibilities

Employee Communications
Develop the vision for MedTech China employee communication/culture building by crafting the right messaging and leveraging various internal channels to embed our Credo, our Purpose and culture key messages, enhancing our employee value proposition and two-way communication within the organization. Design and lead powerful culture building agenda and initiatives to foster a winning culture to further drive business performance and employee engagement, building JJMT China a distinguished culture identity in the industry and a desired place for work for young talents.

Design and execute seamlessly important internal events and activities including townhalls, annual meetings, global visits and other employee engagement events, ensuring high quality and creativity throughout design and management phase.
Maintain and develop the digital internal communication assets and channels with continuous improvement to enhance the internal efficiencies and effectiveness. Explore the CommTech technologies for China and continuous to drive the digital capability of employee communication team.

Innovation Culture and Capability Building
Work closely with the Innovation Committee and cross-function teams to initiate and sustain powerful innovation communication as well as capability building agenda. Work with internal and external key partners to deliver innovation communication and programs to ignite the innovation power within the organization. Ensure the successful implementation of innovation schemes in organization.

CSR and Community Impact
Oversee and manage the overall CSR programs for JJMT China, including, but not limited to Operation Smile and JJMT Volunteer Club. Design the CSR activity goal and agenda and work with internal and external partners to ensure high participation of voluntary activities from employees, as well as positive social impacts achieved by CSR programs.
In addition to the above responsibilities, this individual will also work with APAC and global employee communication teams to support regional and global employee communication initiatives, more importantly, to give more exposure to China organization as well as employees at global level.


Experience and Qualifications

Experience Required
1.Proven performer with at least 10 years of experience in internal communication or broader communications function in large scale multi-national companies.
2.Experience in a multi-cultural, multi-national environment.
3.Experience across a range of communication functions, i.e., organizational communication (required), event planning (required), leadership communications and content development.
4.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese
5.Strong working knowledge of new media technologies with track record of use in internal communication activities.
6.Experience working with and managing agencies and consultants, and managing budgets.
7.Strong project management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines.

8.Strong inter-person communication skills with a good understanding of internal stakeholder management. Proven track record of collaboration and leading a high performing team.
9.Strong partnering skills with business leaders

Qualification Required:
1.Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, business or related discipline (English study, Media, communication or journalism preferred); Master’s Degree a plus.
2.Excellent skills in Microsoft Office. Other computer skills are seen as an addition i.e. video editing, graphic design etc.
