Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess, evaluate and, as appropriate, treat employees based on standards of nursing practice and by applying standing medical directives.
2. Demonstrates the ability to independently manage and coordinate difficult and/or complex cases requiring a multi-disciplinary approach. This includes fitness for duty cases.
3. Under supervision of a physician, administers medications and performs various minor treatments or therapies for injured or ill employees. Administers injections for allergies and for overseas travel as directed by the physician.
4. Pandemic Crisis Management: Ensure employee health protection and business continuity while adhering to global and local crises management processes, return to work processes, and COVID-19 testing and vaccination programs.
5. Demonstrates the ability to effectively analyze the risks associated with worksite hazards.
6. Demonstrates knowledge of advanced physical assessment skills.
7. Demonstrates competency with basic testing interpretation (such as audiometry, spirometry, vision, laboratory results, etc.).
8. Effectively demonstrates the ability to understand the rationale and interpretation of the medical surveillance program outcomes.
9. Conducts health profiles, health evaluations and other services within the integrated employee Health Services & Resources strategy including but not limited to: health promotion education, health screenings, drug screenings.
10.Complies with policy, procedures, written standing orders, protocols and medical directives as required by the company and State Nurse Practice Act.
11.Maintains accurate clinical records, utilizing approved medical, nursing and statistical formats, including computer technology.
12.Advises and counsels employees within areas of core competency and integrated services and makes appropriate referrals (internal and external) when indicated.
13.Exhibits proficiency in identifying internal and external resources, assets, and capabilities that might be used in the event of a local or regional emergency and/or disaster incident.
14.Effectively provides expertise and consultation to the site in the areas of Occupational Health and Safety training.
15.Develops knowledge of the occupational hazards/exposures, and treatment thereof, for the specific location.
16.Assists in the process of medical leaves of absence and Workers’ Compensation as required.
17.Participates in periodic evaluations (customers surveys, trend analysis, etc.) of the effectiveness of the Health Services & Resources services provided to the employees.
18.Maintains standards of nursing practice.
19.Participates in the Employee Development Program process. Attends continuing education programs.
20.Demonstrates the ability to function as a resource for Occupational Health Nurses on day-to-day regulatory issues/questions.
21.Effectively communicates at the following levels: Internal - All levels of management, cross-site functional teams.
Kwalificaties
Qualifications:
- Active California Registered Nurse license, or willing to obtain.
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing (BSN) required.
- COHN preferred.
- Three to five years' experience in occupational health, emergency room or
intensive care nursing required.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Solid understanding of regulatory areas (e.g., ADA, OSHA, FMLA, Workers’ Comp, STD/LTD)
Additional Information:
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $ 77,000 to $124,200
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. ·

- Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year

- Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
