The Digital Orthopedic Surgery team is bringing innovation to patient care. We are using robotics and digital tools for surgical teams to increase the performance, accuracy, and safety of surgical procedures. We are crafting an extensible operating room ecosystem to support our surgical products. Our vision is to build a process of continuous improvement through analysis of intra-operative and post-operative surgical data. We are dedicated to improving patient outcomes through the advancement of medical technology.
As a key member of the Robotics Software Engineering Team, you will drive enhancements to our data and risk management processes for a sophisticated robotic assisted surgical platform. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who will work to ensure information remains safe and secure on the device and in transit. This highly collaborative position works with our Marketing, Systems Engineering, Information Security, Quality, Development, and Verification teams to provide a safe and effective solution!
Key Responsibilities:

Define requirements for technologies used in our robotic-assisted medical devices to ensure appropriate user, data, and process management for the system

Define cybersecurity and privacy requirements to ensure data is reliable and secure in storage and transit

Perform software risk analysis to identify the need for software risk mitigations
-
Ensure end-to-end traceability within software documentation

Perform and assist in software and system impact assessments
Kwalificaties
Required:
-
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
-
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a regulated industry
-
Experience with cybersecurity, data governance, and privacy standards
-
Experience with connected technologies (device to cloud)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
-
Masters or Doctorate degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related
-
Medical device development experience
-
Experience with risk management of medical devices on a network, or health software IT systems
-
Knowledge of the HITRUST CSF, HIPAA, GDPR, and/or other privacy frameworks
-
Experience in writing medical device software requirements and authoring design documentation
