In this role you will plan, research, and write service manual documentation for a highly technical and innovative medical device platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works without appreciable supervision.
  • Plans, research, and writes service manual content.
  • Works within the confines of the Quality System policy as well as global regulatory requirements and follows company style guide and branding requirements.
  • Collaborates with a cross-functionally product development team to acquire source material and information to develop understanding of the products.
  • Leads sophisticated service-related documentation projects, builds schedules, determines deliverables and identifies project inter-dependencies.
  • Reports status on assigned projects and assures that the quality of service meets internal and external customer requirements.

Qualifications

Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent University degree required; focused degree in a relevant technical subject area, or scientific or technical communications preferred

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional work experience
  • Experience as a technical writer in a high-tech environment.
  • A strong working knowledge of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Comprehensive written and verbal communication, interpersonal, presentation, analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to handle a large volume of projects simultaneously and meet project timelines.
  • Ease in learning new tools and systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • A sophisticated understanding of tools used for writing and publishing, and of XML schema
  • Proficient understanding of software used to create drawings and edit photos.

Preferred:

  • Experience writing with DITA concepts and working within a component content management system (CCMS)
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment.
  • Medical device industry experience

Other:

  • May require up to 10% domestic and/or international travel to other locations and sites
  • The anticipated base pay range for this position is $101,000 - $162,725/yr.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. · Please use the following language:

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
