You will work with electromechanical capital equipment product development teams to understand the servicing needs of the product and translate them into design requirements. You will build and execute plans for deployment and ongoing support of service centers within the U.S. as well as support plans for product expansion outside of the U.S.

Key job responsibilities:
•Work with R&D, Manufacturing, and Suppliers during product development to ensure delivery of a serviceable product that yields a cost-efficient service operation.
•Develop troubleshooting guides, training instructions, manuals, and other required documentation to support the service and repair of equipment.
•Transfer service operation to global authorized service centers and field service organizations.
•Drive quality and process improvements by effectively utilizing Process Excellence tools to improve operations and resolve complex process issues.
•Monitor post‐launch service performance ‐ analyzing results, developing a root cause for issues, and implement product or service improvements.
•Supporting hardware and software design changes throughout the product lifecycle.
•Co-ordinate activities with internal & external customers.
•Plan, conduct & direct complex engineering assignments to completion.
•Serve as the Domain Authority (i.e. Subject Matter Expert) for various Service & Repair systems/procedures/functions.
•Mentor Associate and Primary Service Engineers and Technicians.
•Follow all company safety policies & other safety precautions within work area. Promote safety to all associates that enter work area

•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Biomedical, or similar technical degree is required, preferably in the area of mechanical, electrical or biomedical engineering
•A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience which should include experience applying service engineering & business principles to a broad range of assignments
•Experience writing formal technical reports and business reports
•Ability to plan, conduct and direct complicated engineering & business projects to completion, and support service responsibilities for complex products
•Ability to be based in Palm Beach Gardens, FL
•Ability to support up to 40% travel domestically and internationally

•At least 3 years of experience working within a regulated industry
•Experience turning customer requirements into development activities
•Understanding of new product introduction
•Experience in service, R&D, manufacturing or quality 
•Experience with Design for Serviceability throughout New Product Development process 
•Experience in the medical device industry 
•Experience with Process Development and Validation of Manufacturing/Assembly Processes
•Experience leading outside vendors and suppliers
•Experience solving technical manufacturing issues
•Field Service experience
•Robotics experience
•Assembly equipment Design Experience
