With a focus on autoimmunity and cancer we are seeking a world class Immunologist to lead our Adaptive Immunity team focused on novel approaches to immune modulation based on knowledge of the disease relevant immune cell repertoire.
Reporting to the Global Head Therapeutic Platforms the successful candidate will lead research teams in Springhouse PA and Beerse Belgium to deploy state of the art experimental and analytical platforms to characterize the immune cell repertoire in disease settings and utilize deconvolution strategies to identify antigenic specificity.
 
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
  • Continuing to refine and enhance our scientific strategies, technology platforms and therapeutic approaches to immune modulation.
  • Partnering with internal disease area biology teams and enabling capability groups to leverage analytical platforms for immunoprofiling, computational tools and protein sciences expertise.
  • Managing a strong network of existing, while establishing new, external partnerships in the academic and biotech area to leverage new insights to enable the vision of identifying novel approaches to disease interception.
  • Establishing immunomonitoring capabilities.

Qualifications
 

The successful candidate will have a PhD in Pharmacology or Immunology or related discipline with a minimum of 15 years experience in the field of Adaptive Immunity. Understanding mechanisms of immune specificity that may underlie disease processes in autoimmunity and cancer is key. The successful candidate will have previous line management experience and will have a proven track record of success in the Immunology field through publications and presentations.

 

Previous Industry experience and knowledge of Drug Discovery is advantageous but not required. Strong communications skills are essential as is a proven ability to work in a matrix environment while establishing and maintaining both internal and external collaborations.
