Auris Health, Inc. is recruiting for a Monarch Assembly Technician, Capital Equipment. This position will be located in Redwood City, CA.

Responsible for manufacture and testing of Auris systems. Adheres to GMP and GDP principles for medical device manufacturing. Executes manufacturing procedures and provides ongoing continuous improvement feedback. Oversees production floor layout and maintains an orderly workspace. Identifies nonconforming product and works alongside manufacturing engineering for root cause assessment.

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Assembly of electro-mechanical sub-assemblies and complete systems. Integration of motion control, PCAs, hardware, sensors, etc.
  • Configuration of PC hardware and software as part of system builds.
  • Execute manufacturing assembly and test procedures on capital systems and service units.
  • Perform line clearance activities and necessary tooling verification both prior to and following completion of production.
  • Apply GMP and GDP principles to assembly and test records and documentation.
  • Identifies and escalates nonconforming products and supports root cause investigation alongside manufacturing engineering.
  • Execute rework or deviation instructions with coordination with manufacturing engineering
  • Provide day-to-day coordination and scheduling of floor activities with materials and planning teams.
  • Leads in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor.
  • Train and mentor new technicians in assembly and test operations.
  • May require lifting of up to 50 lbs and operation of hoisting equipment for heavier loads
  • May require prolonged periods of standing, bending, sitting, and kneeling during system assembly
  • Available to work day shift

  • Associates Degree in ME, EE, or IE required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of medical device or capital equipment assembly and test experience required; robotics experience preferred
  • Must have the ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring schematics
  • Proficiency in computer programs required; Ability to work with and configure computer hardware and software preferred
  • Ability to understand and apply GMP and GDP principles in manufacturing required
  • Agile PLM experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a regulated environment in compliance to ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820 required

Work Environment:

This position operates in a laboratory/assembly environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Physical Demands:
  • May require lifting of up to 50 lbs. and operation of hoisting equipment for heavier loads
  • May require prolonged periods of standing, bending, sitting, and kneeling during system assembly
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
  • Availability to work extended day shift preferred (8AM-4:30PM) to overlap with R&D
  • May periodically rotate into sustaining manufacturing activities depending on R&D schedules
