The RMC Scientist will be responsible to lead and manage various raw material and packaging component changes for existing marketed in the Consumer Products portfolio. The RMC Scientist will conduct raw material qualifications/packaging component projects, process improvements and troubleshooting to raw material issues at the manufacturing sites. The scope of work may include new or alternate material qualifications, packaging component projects, process improvement, and manufacturing plant support. This individual will coordinate and may execute the changes implementation, report metrics interacting with and/or leading cross-functional teams regionally and globally. Additionally, the RMC Scientist will work independently to drive technical resolutions in manufacturing and troubleshoot raw material/product issues under defined timelines.
Participate in multi-functional teams to execute Supplier Driven Changes for raw material and packaging components, investigate problems, implement resolution and develop optimized processes to raw materials/products issues.
Lead raw material/packaging component project activities to ensure timely execution and project closure.
Liaison with suppliers to gather information for the project team, define the problem and implement resolution .
Assist in gathering information for global governance process for new raw material introduction
Train RMC and cross functional partners on current processes, roles and responsibilities and expectations per current SOPs
Participate in process improvement opportunities to streamline and simplify current processes/forms/systems
Manage and coordinate low and high complexity projects with cross-functional team and SMEs, prepare documents and report metrics as requested to implement projects
A minimum of Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemistry Engineering or related areas is required. Graduate degree or specialization in cosmetology will be considered a differential.
Minimum of 3 years experience in research & development or related areas of Cosmetic/Pharmaceutical Industry or Chemical Raw Material Industry is required.
Fluent English is required. Spanish will be considered a differential.
Good communication skills with different areas, cultures and time zones; team work; ability to work in a multi-functional team personally or by conference calls being an individual contributor; experience managing projects.
