The Packaging Operator Technician works independently under the general supervision of the Packaging Supervisor and performs all functions related to the operation of the packaging lines. 

This position requires shift flexibility including night shift, afternoon shift and day shift operations. 

Key duties:
- Supports the safety culture by completing safety training on time and reporting all unsafe conditions
- Perform Changeovers
- Setups
- Basic troubleshooting
- Participate in the daily operation of the lines and material handling

The Packaging Operator Technician performs all activities in compliance with company safety and hygiene requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). 
The operator complies with company policies, our Credo and exercises the highest level of integrity in the tasks that are performed.

 
Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalency

Strong mechanical aptitude, technical skills and troubleshooting abilities are required

Ticket in a skilled trade, or training/education in a related field is highly preferred 

Experience within a GMP environment 

Previous experience with walkie stacker/electric pumps/fork lift will be considered an asset

Strong computer literacy – previous experience with SAP is an asset
