Janssen Inc. is currently recruiting for a 4 month Health Economics and Reimbursement Associate Intern within the Government Affairs and Market Access (ACCESS) department. Start date is May 2019.
The ACCESS team is focused on two key responsibilities: working in close partnership with public and private payers to provide them with appropriate clinical data, pricing and partnership opportunities to support drug funding and patient access; and, data generation through clinical and health economic studies, to facilitate medication access through payers and adoption by prescribers.

Responsibilities:
• Perform literature searches and critically assess clinical and health economic data;
• Assist in the research and writing of clinical and economic sections of a reimbursement submission (depending on strengths/preferences);
• Assist in composing and reviewing economic tools such as budget impact analyses for submissions in the immunology therapeutic area;
• Lead patient-level data analyses to support product listing agreements with provincial payers. Provide support for health outcomes studies that support the value of our immunology portfolio.
• Attend team, departmental and company-wide meetings.

Qualifications
Student in good standing, currently enrolled as a graduate student in a Science, MBA or Pharmacy program (background in health sciences is an asset);
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work tasks in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong ability to research and analyze medical/scientific information;
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, dynamic environment as well as ability to work independently;
  • Proficiency in technology applications including MS Office is an asset.
