This Technology Manager position is within the Commercial Development, Global Digital Marketing team of Technology Services organization, which is focused on Engineering solutions delivered in a more rapid, consistent and cost-effective manner. Gaining quicker access to the best technology and approaches delivering at scale across the enterprise. Accelerating business value through Agile delivery and human-centered design approaches. Providing a deeper connection with our customers and employees to improve their J&J experience.

The Technology Manager will be responsible for building innovative, reusable, scalable global web solutions, encourage critical thought, collaborate across various stakeholders, and enforce the fundamental principles of good software development with the development teams. This role is the link between the sector digital teams and the platform architecture and infrastructure teams, leveraging capabilities to build solutions, and feeding user and technical requirements into the platform backlog. The role will partner closely with Product Owners, Business Analyst, internal Architecture and Software Engineering teams, Development Centers and vendor partners providing development services.

In this role, you’ll work closely with multiple stakeholders to interpret and analyze requirements, and execute technical solutions that deliver flawless[1] , fast, and easy to use digital experiences for all users and consumers.

Major Responsibilities and Approx. % of Time Required:

Digital technology development and implementation - 50%

Technical consultation - 15%

Communications with delivery and tech teams - 15%

Knowledge sharing and ongoing personal development- 10%

Process Management, Design and Implementation - 10%.


Qualifications

•A Bachelor's degree is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field is preferred.
•A minimum of 5 years of related work experience is required.
•Experience in digital/ internet technologies is required.
•Experience working in an Agile team is required. Experience working in a SAFe team is preferred.
•Experience with Drupal engineering, including core development, module development, and site development is required.
•Strong experience with object-oriented development is required.
•Experience with modern PHP web development (PHP, RESTful APIs, Graph QL, and/or JSON) is required.
•Experience with IaaS providers like Acquia and Platform.sh is preferred.
•Experience with PHP, Drupal, JavaScript and MySQL are required. HMTL5 and CSS3 are preferred.
•Experience with Symfony3 is preferred. Experience with iOS or Android is preferred.
•Experience with jQuery, Angular, ReactJS, and node.js is preferred.
•Experience with Dev-ops (Jenkins/Docker/puppet/chef/ansible etc.) is preferred.
•Experience with open source version control systems (e.g. SVN, git) is required.
•Proficiency in unit and functional testing is preferred.
•Experience working with Test Driven Development and/or Behavior Driven Development is preferred.
•Experience writing technical design docs and driving them through development is required.
•Experience in a large global organization is preferred.
•A disciplined, structured and logical approach to problem solving is required.
•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects successfully is required.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills and knack for tailoring communications to non-technical audiences are required.
•Well-developed presentation and facilitation skills are required.
•Demonstrated ability to manage working relationships and business partnerships, remotely if needed, is required.
•Experience with Application Services or overall Shared Services Delivery and Support processes are preferred.
