The Program Portfolio Manager will be responsible for managing the Johnson & Johnson Human Performance Institute Program Portfolio and will collaborate with JJHPI leadership team to manage the company’s product portfolio. This position is responsible for leading a portfolio of projects working with key stakeholders from business to deliver key projects as defined by business plan. The responsibilities include management of the end-to-end processes and procedures to execute and deliver the program experience strategy, provide direction, oversight and active management of the portfolio of projects in support of the strategic objectives and ensures alignment with all cross functional teams.
This candidate will play a critical role in the management and development of JJHPI programs across the product portfolio. They will work directly with the content and learner experience teams to design and develop transformational behavior change solutions and will partner with other key stakeholders to ensure that programs are meeting business objectives, customer needs, and driving outcomes as identified by the business. The Program Portfolio Manager is accountable for documenting program processes, program analytics & performance for all programs in the JJHPI program portfolio.
Manage commercial program portfolio, define overall program roadmap and individual project plans, identify key milestones as part of product development lifecycle
Analyze learner needs through evaluation, collaboration with delivery and implementation teams, sales, and customer research
Establish metrics, KPIs, and track progress & dependencies for each commercial program
Summarize and report out on overall commercial roadmap and portfolio, including status of key priorities, upcoming asks and scoping, capacity management, and portfolio risks/issues/tradeoffsProgram Management & Development
Business case development for new commercial program development and/or current program improvements. This include cross-functional business partnering to gather market requirements, pricing structure, end-to-end process, commercialization plan, and market analysis.
End to end process management from program conception to deployment in commercial market
Manage program development lifecycle from pilot to commercial launch
Manage agile innovation process for new programs/products and current program/product innovation including but not limited to ideation, exploration, validation, and concept testing.Project Management
Lead projects related to program development and process improvements
Lead project debrief review
Identify continuous improvement areas based on lessons learned
Manage expenses within the assigned budget
Serve as the single point of contact for program management for the content & program team
Ensure alignment to organizational intake, prioritization, allocation, and delivery frameworks. Influence adoption and positive change in others with respect to delivery, portfolio, and program management in a matrixed organization.
According to governance approach, partner with Project Manager to ensure risks and issues with timeline, scope and budget are appropriately documented, reported and mitigated
Collaborate with team, peers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to maintain relationships
Serve as JJHPI Program SME leveraging industry leading practices for portfolio management, program innovation, and continuous process improvement

A minimum of a Bachelor Degree is required in business administration, product management, marketing. An advanced degree such as MBA, Product Management & Design, or related field preferred.
A minimum of 7 years of program or product management required
Ability to drive collaboration with executives, business and technical teams to achieve effective solutions
Experience in leading change and the ability to get buy in from key stakeholders is required.
Must have proven ability to think strategically and to translate strategic directives into tactical initiatives. Must have strong business and process improvement acumen.
Must have exposure to cross functional business processes and ability to work successfully in a matrixed environment
Must be a self-starter, motivated individual who works well under pressure
Must have excellent executive presentation skills, ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely, and the ability to respectfully question and/or challenge others to think through problems, improvement opportunities, solutions, and plans
Previous program portfolio management and SDLC lifecycle experience, waterfall and agile methodologies preferred
Agile coaching experience in leading organization agile transformation
Lean Portfolio Management, Six Sigma Certification
Strong leadership and executive facilitation
Experience in portfolio management, including strategy, finance, discovery-driven growth, and value stream management
