Lead Analyst, Compensation Analytics is responsible for supporting the development and management of the overall compensation strategy for the Americas Region of critical sales compensation solutions, business insights (i.e. Quota Forecasting) and analytical tools sets (MIRA SvQ). This person will be the sales data subject matter expert as it relates to quota-setting, compensation performance, reporting and payouts. In addition, the position will have the responsibility to manage analytical and ad hoc projects within the U.S. team and collaborate with departments across the region to understand, address and present solutions to issues. 

The Lead Analyst, Compensation Analytics will partner and connect with the Americas Leadership, Sales Force Effectiveness and Health Of Business teams to improve our SFE analytics, the HOB metrics and quota strategy and execution. The Lead Analyst will be a key link between the Sales Compensation team and Finance / Brand Marketing business partners, as it relates to quota forecasting and implementation.

Responsibilities:
• Support North America incentive compensation design and administration across multiple eye health business models including contact lens, CEH and LipiSystem
• Identifying trends / insights, connecting with relevant business partners where natural connections occur
• Partner with sales leadership and brand marketing teams to monitor the effectiveness of the incentive programs and perform analysis to support recommendations as needed
• Working with IT Department to integrate new data and reporting into current analytical and field systems
• Integrate new sources of data, innovative views, and driving better penetration into the Field Management Team as it relates to Sales Compensation
• Partner closely with Manager, Sales Incentive Compensation on compensation, quota, awards, policy & procedures and ongoing governance decisions
• Working with internal business partners to identify key initiatives, and develop appropriate home office and field compensation metrics and reporting vehicles and compensation reporting strategy and implementation
• Partner with finance to manage budget allocation and accrual process
• Develop and maintain all incentive plan documentation
• Collaborate with the Sales Communication team to publish deliverables to the sales force
• Participate in the design and administration of the sales force rewards and contest programs
• Support HR and Sales Management during mid and year-end evaluation process
• Manage incentive payout process to ensure accuracy, approval, payroll submission and sales force communication
• Ensure proactive communication with the field with respect to deliverables and/or call-outs to process, performance or other compensation related items
• Maintain compliance with J&J Payroll policies, SOX controls and payroll procedures
• Quota forecasting, tracking and analyses (i.e. what if scenarios)
• Participate in annual compensation surveys
• Analytically support other key initiatives as they may arise within the organization
• This is a highly collaborative position that requires strategic and analytical thinking as well as the ability to clearly communicate complex issues and solutions
• Manage other duties as assigned

Qualifications
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required
• MBA degree is preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant business experience is required
• Experience in Sales Support analytics required, experience in Compensation Forecasting and/or Business Analytics is preferred
• Experience in medical device, or healthcare field is preferred
• Experience conducting formal and ad-hoc presentations to cross-functional partners is required
• Demonstrated experience using data and analytics to influence decisions is required
• Project Management experience is preferred
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills through professional experience, such as problem identification, data-gathering, analysis, solution and implementation is required
• Experience with SAS, Incentive Compensation software (Optymyze, Ibm, Cognos ICM, Synygy, Xactly), and Visual Analytical tools (SAP, Tableau) is preferred
• Intermediate-to-Advanced Microsoft Excel skills is required
• Ability to multi-task several concurrent projects and workstreams is required
• Ability to anticipate downstream implications and take action to mitigate risk is required
• Demonstrated ability to learn new software solutions is required
• This position is located in Jacksonville, FL and will require up to 10% of domestic and/or international travel
