The MICC Associate Director has responsibility for the strategic alignment, direction, and functional effectiveness of the HCP MICC Team. In this role you will partner with the MICC and Medical Information & Knowledge Integration leadership teams, Scientific Affairs and Commercial colleagues to identify strategic opportunities for the MICC as well as to ensure compliant medical information support to HCPs.

This position is responsible for the development of employees within the department through the utilization of Human Resources Planning (HRP) programs including management development and training to meet current and future business needs.

  • You will have responsibility for leading a team of MICC professionals to ensure the provision of scientifically-robust medical information product support to HCPs and consumers

  • Additional responsibilities include responding to business issues within the Medical Information Contact Center and effective communication with internal and external partners

  • The Associate Director will develop and implement MICC strategies in support of franchise and division goals while ensuring employee competency and accountability in providing accurate, balanced, and timely medical information to our customers, while promoting a compliant culture

  • You will lead a team of 5 - 10 MICC professionals to ensure the provision of scientifically-robust medical information support to HCPs and consumers

  • You will respond to business issues within the MICC and effectively communicate with internal & external partners

  • You will develop and implement MICC strategies in support of franchise and division goals, ensure employee competency and accountability in providing accurate, balanced, and timely medical information to our customers, while promoting a compliant culture

  • You will develop the competencies of direct reports to achieve optimal performance for themselves and for their teams. You will provide motivational and inspirational coaching and prepare direct reports for career advancement and provide scientific support to internal Scientific Affairs and Commercial Strategy/working group teams



Qualifications
  • A Bachelors of Science degree is required
  • A PharmD degree or MBA is a plus
  • An RN degree will be considered
  • A minimum of 5 years related industry experience is required
  • Previous people management experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and to drive employee engagement with direct reports is preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills are required to succeed with internal and external business partners

  • Medical Writing experience is preferred
  • Up to 20% domestic travel is required
