SR QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

This individual ensures site Quality Operations talent development to meet current and future needs of the organization, participates in setting site and regional strategies and provides long range input to manufacturing objectives.
As a member of the Jonhson & Johnson SJC site Quality & Compliance Make Leadership Team, this individual will be expected to represent the site on committees and projects as required. Leading at least one regional initiative will be required.
Manages São Jose dos Campos, Brazil - Compromised Skin and Personal Care business units - quality plant activities to maximize quality, compliance and customer service
Ensures effective deployment of resources with respect to personnel, budget and physical inputs
Supports open communication with regulatory authorities as a vehicle to influence positive GMP regulatory change and evaluate impact of changes on site activity
Represents Quality function in partnership with the site Business Unit leaders, also supporting Quality function representation in the others Supply Chain boards, whenever necessary.
Ensures E2E view in Manufacturing Quality organization and leads/sponsors strategic initiatives at the site.
Provides an environment of innovation and employee engagement
Ensures delivery of critical metrics (quality, compliance, customer service and efficiency)
Collaborates to identify, investigate, report, correct and prevent GMP deficiencies
Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all São Jose dos Campus, Brazil manufacturing employees
Participates in site and eventually regional Manufacturing Quality & Compliance strategic initiatives, shaping the local and regional organization and its processes
Ensure the deployment and sustainability of process improvement initiatives (F2W, JJPS, PAT)
B.Sc. or equivalent degree in a science discipline (chemistry, microbiology, pharmacy, engineering) related to the work being performed in Quality Assurance is required. Master’s degree as asset.
Minimum 10 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is required. Experience in a leadership role in Quality & Compliance is required.
Experience successfully managing people is required.
Experience in OTC, Cosmetics and/or Medical Devices is required.
Advanced knowledge of current GMPs, ANVISA, Health Canada, FDA regulations is required. Green Belt or Black Belt Certification is preferred.
Fluency in English is a requirement, fluency in Spanish is preferred.
Strong influencing and negotiation experience is required.
Ability to foster effective relationships across internal and external partners and bring a sense of urgency to the critical needs of the business is required.
Ability to manage complexity and a diverse team is required.
Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal relationship skills are required.
Advanced ability to determine goals and conduct goal oriented tasks efficiently and independently is required. Confidence to foster innovation, lead with E2E mindset and business orientation is required.
