Overall responsibilities:
Facilitate the monthly Sales & Operations Planning process of balancing demand with supply to offer best product availability with optimal inventory levels.
Position duties & responsibilities:

General

Act as interface between Product Development, Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Quality and Operations to support the monthly Sales & Operations Planning process
Continuously improve the process and tools in order to increase the performance towards our end customers
Train users and partners on processes and systems
Monitor and report on performance metrics and support Management with reports and data analysis
Know and follow all laws and policies to apply the job and maintain the highest level of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times
Develop and document new business processes in cross functional teams and ensure the effectivity of the end-to-end planning process
Act as Subject Matter Experts (SME) representing the department and planning processes in various projects and/or serve as the department planning supervisor with direct report responsibilities

Demand Planning 

Manage launch forecasts and statistical forecast data
Lead and improve regional and country demand review processes
Evaluate and implement solution and ensure alignment with marketing & sales in development of the consensus forecast
Manage dedicatedly supply constraints and peak demands like new product launches and tenders
Manage inventory levels to meet business plans and ensure defined service levels
Monitor and report on performance metrics according to scorecard
Continuous improvements of processes in order to increase the performance towards our end customers
Develop and document new business processes in cross functional teams and ensure the effectivity of the end-to-end planning process
Train Users on processes and systems

Supply Planning

Assist and control production plants in the capacity review process in order to have the needed capacities available in time and participate in Supply Review Process
Control material requirement planning, crafting and maintaining PO’s, in ERP system for assigned finished products
Manage supply constraints and make-to-order process for peak demands like new product launches and tenders with internal and external suppliers
Analyze and dedicatedly manage inventory levels to meet business plans and ensure defined service levels. Set and review inventory entitlement parameters
Provide supply commits on product availability to enable end-to-end supply visibility
Build effective relationships and partnerships with key suppliers
Participate in new product launch meetings for assigned projects and ensure timely setup of master data and placement of purchase orders

Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)

Implement S&OP policies, standards, guidelines, technology and procedures
Support and drive the monthly S&OP process and the reviews with the appropriate Management Boards. Coordinate and consolidate the regional S&OP review information (including the presentation materials) and critical metrics
Identify gaps and areas to align processes and improve supply chain effectiveness and performance
Monitor the process on a continuous basis to measure process adherence
Responsible for coordinating and presenting the S&OP review information, including any presentation materials

Extended Duties

Additional tasks and projects as may be assigned
Participate in cross functional project teams and act as SME


Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Business or related field is required.
APICS/Six Sigma/IBF certification is preferred.
Knowledge of CFR 21 (FDA cGMP) and ISO 13485 is preferred. 
Professional experience requirements:
At least 4-6 years professional work experience in supply chain area is required. 
Deep understanding of supply chain principles is required. 
Good understanding of ERP systems and information technology is required. 
Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and Power Point is required. 
Strong analytical skills required.
Project management skills are preferred.

Ability to negotiate and influence without direct line authority is preferred. 
Fluency in German is preferred.
Up to 15% Domestic & International traveling to J&J offices, supplier locations and distribution hubs is required.
