Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Group Product Director, Established Products Group - Oncology, located in Titusville, NJ.   This position reports to the Senior Director, Established Products Group.


This position within Established Products Group currently leads marketing of Procrit and Yondelis but will evolve over time as the EPG portfolio needs change. The role will be responsible for the development of an integrated U.S. strategy, directing all commercial activities and the design, planning and execution of all pricing, contracting and promotional programs to support the marketplace success of these drugs and others. The Group Product Director must work closely with multiple functions including Finance, Pricing, Business Analytics, Strategic Customer Group (primarily IBG), Supply Chain, Legal, Established Products Compound Development Team, Corporate Communications, Sales where appropriate and outside vendors to effectively execute key commercial activities.  



Develop an integrated business plan and strategic plan, and participate in other lifecycle planning exercises as required by EPG. Develop brand strategies and tactics, oversee profitability attainment, and establish annual marketing plans.  Provide forecasts for product line and updates throughout the year. Utilize market research to properly plan product activities. Coordinate promotional activities with sales management as needed.  Support franchise and EPG team cross-functional initiatives. Plan and execute promotional activities at company conventions. Partner closely with Pricing Director and SCG team to develop and execute brand customer contracts. Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure sufficient and uninterrupted product supply. Responsible for budget maintenance to support financial objectives. Track and monitor monthly performance of franchise and recommend corrections as needed. Interact effectively with Compound Development Team, Trade, Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, Market Research, Strategic Customer Group and Managed Care organizations. Continually assess competitive landscape and respond accordingly. Work within regulatory and HCC guidelines to achieve goals.  Work closely with Senior Director of Established Products Group and Finance to ensure appropriate resources and organizational alignment to capitalize on short-term and long-term business opportunities.

  • BA/BS required, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 7 years business experience (e.g. Marketing, Sales, Management, etc) including demonstrated experience in critical marketing competencies 
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with proven track record of managing multiple functional partners within a matrixed environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strategic Customer and Contracting experience
  • Oncology sales or marketing experience
  • Biosimilar experience
