Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Canada is recruiting for a Director, Business Technology Leader. This role will have end-to-end responsibilities for development and delivery of business technology strategy, digital services, and program execution through partnership with our business leadership teams. The candidate will own the Medical Devices technology portfolio, support our commercial strategies, and actively drive on-going enablement of our business to propel growth.

This credo-based leader will be a member of the Medical Devices Canada Business Leadership Team, and a member of the NA Medical Devices Technology Leadership team. The role will report to the Vice President, NA Medical Devices Business Technology.

The successful incumbent will have the following responsibilities and activities to drive results in partnership with our business partners in Medical Devices Canada:
Develop deep knowledge of related business and technology capabilities and solutions to drive customer value and impact for Medical Devices Canada
Partner with business leaders and teams to drive commercial execution and customer insights to influence and support market growth opportunities
Execute and develop technology roadmaps in partnership with Medical Devices Canada business leaders and other key stakeholders and ensure they meet established objectives and expectations of the business 
Share ownership of the business value results of technology related projects; measure and communicate business value results on a regular basis
Bring outside-in or fresh perspectives into the organization by routinely meeting with end customers/consumers, industry peers, and other external sources
Partner with business and IT leaders evaluate proposals, build business cases, and plan business technology enabling initiatives that will propel growth
Work closely with our Product Line organization and Technology Services team to deliver the right cost-effective technology capabilities for Medical Devices Canada
Drive excellence in execution and ensure timely delivery of critical programs and solutions
Understand, improve, and outline business processes and interdependencies for new solutions that impact Medical Devices Canada business
Actively engage as a thought leader to create new opportunities in partnership with business and technology leaders
Coordinates business planning through alignment of key stakeholders within Medical Devices Canada 
Evangelize and support agile principles for solution development and execution
Manage internal technology services levels on behalf of Medical Devices Canada to ensure proper operations support for critical systems and processes


Qualifications
Leadership, Business Acumen, and Technology Knowledge Expectations:

Deep knowledge of current and emerging external stakeholders' needs (Policy, Payer, Provider, Patient) and business models to define challenges, technology opportunities, and support shaping current / future integrated customer solutions strategies
Broad and relevant technology experience in supply chain, pricing, contracting, account management, value added services, digital, analytics, and customer relationship technology platforms / solutions
Extraordinary experience in agile methodology adoption and execution across a significant business technology portfolio
Strong business technology portfolio management skills with experience in driving and measuring business value
Passionate, driven, leader and business partner committed to creating a culture of innovation, execution, and customer service
Credo-based, contagious leadership style, with high level of employee engagement, teamwork, and dedication to diversity and inclusion
Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment


A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. An advanced degree is preferred
A minimum of 10 years of working experience is required
Experience in defining and delivering successful products within the healthcare or CPG industry is required
Deep understanding of business drivers/processes and the ability to relate priorities to associated technology investments is required
Deep Agile/Lean Development knowledge, training or experience is required
Understands healthcare industry, and emerging trends for driving new market and customer value solutions
Expertise or knowledge in customer engagement experience design is preferred
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, self-motivated and exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics is required
Passion to develop and deploy business capabilities that delight J&J’s business partners, customers, and employees is required
Big picture mindset with the ability to zoom in and out of details; can balance both technical and strategic demands is required
Exceptional service orientation, strong negotiation skills are preferred
Ability to create context around key business drivers and strategic plan, and present ideas in a business-friendly and user-friendly language is preferred
This position may require up to 10-20% travel, domestic/international
