The Software Quality Test Engineer will provide quality leadership on new product project teams to ensure that medical devices and stand-alone software systems are being designed and validated to meet their intended use.

As a Software Quality Test Engineer you will be domain expertise in requirements gathering, facilitating software risk assessments, defining test strategies, and guiding project teams on design controls and defect analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participating in an Agile team of software test engineers focused on the Software Development Lifecycle of our applications ensuring high engagement and high performance in application delivery.
  • Defining testing strategy alongside a team of software development professionals. Writing and executing test cases ensuring that they meet provided requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Effective testing of applications during the Software Development Lifecycle including design, implementation, and execution.
  • Detailed understanding and consistent use of our Quality Management System tools and procedures including documentation of Software Verification Protocols and test results.

• A Bachelor's degree is required; A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in technology and software testing is required.
• Experience with continuous integration implementations is required.
• Ability to create and execute test plans, including verification of input requirements is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills is required.
• Experience with QA-related aspects of the software development lifecycle from development to deployment is required.
• Excellent understanding of requirements management, configuration management, software V&V, automated testing, and defect management is required
• Experience writing test cases using the BDD/Gherkin format is preferred.
• Experience working in an Agile software development team and familiarity with Agile development practices is strongly preferred.
• Experience using a repository for managing test cases is preferred.
• Experience in the Medical Device industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with common programming languages is preferred.
• Experience working in a highly regulated environment is preferred, experience with medical device software is strongly preferred
