The Senior Project Manager will work for the DePuy Synthes Mitek Sports Medicine business which develops, manufactures and markets innovative solutions for a wide range of minimally invasive mobility therapies, including arthroscopic repair devices for knee, hip and shoulder pathologies.
In this role you will lead a cross-functional, new product development team through: Design feasibility, detailed design, implementation, verification (which may include software verification), process verification/validation, and risk management of Class I-II medical devices, specifically electro-mechanical systems. You will be expected to demonstrate a passion for guiding the team to find solutions to complex problems, possess strong interpersonal skills & an ability to partner across functions to achieve goals.

Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Setting clear expectations for the project team, establishing roles and responsibilities, and motivating the team to complete deliverables on time.
  • Managing project risk through comprehensive mitigation assessment and planning techniques.
  • Working with stakeholders to develop project plans and project risk analyses for all assigned projects.
  • Handle all communication of project status to all project stakeholders. Communication includes: project meeting minutes, regular presentations, monthly updates and any status or project information needed.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of a B.S. in Engineering is required. An Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in product development (R&D, Quality, etc.) is required.
  • Experience in a regulated industry (GMP, ISO, etc.) is required.
  • Experience acting as the lead for a cross functional project, workstream, and/or subproject is required.
  • Project management experience (Waterfall and/or Agile methods) preferred.
  • A PMP certification is preferred.
  • Medical device industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project preferred.
  • Demonstrated exceptional problem-solving ability required.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are required.
  • Well organized, self-motivated, ambitious, creative and resourceful.
  • Must demonstrate strong leadership and collaborative qualities.
  • The ability to work within a cadaver lab and operating room setting is required.
  • This position is in Raynham, MA and may require up to 10% travel including international.
