Key Responsibilities:
• Build Alliance Management function with capabilities and competencies to effectively manage end-to-end alliances. Develop alliance tools and training, identify systemic gaps in alliance and integration mgt. capabilities, recommend & implement solutions.
• Responsible for the management of the alliance portfolio with external and internal business partners to ensure licensed assets and development alliances deliver value as envisioned
• Build and maintain relationships and strong communication channels among all stakeholders (internal and external).
• Work with BD and TA senior management to organize and lead integration teams and divestiture teams.
• Create alliance dashboard, identify obligations and work with key partners (CDTs, finance, BD, etc.) to meet contractual obligations e.g. milestone payments, royalties etc. Present state of alliance portfolio to governance committees. 
 
Alliance Leadership and Management
• Lead a group of alliance managers responsible for managing external strategic collaborations to optimize alliance performance by building relationships, developing and maintaining strong communication channels.
• Lead alliance launch and onboarding of assets, form and coordinate governance structure to enable efficient communication and decision-making
• Keep stakeholders and senior mgt. apprised of alliance progress, health and performance
• Assess alliance health and take necessary steps to improve areas that could impact alliance performance and value creation
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts. Escalate them as necessary and facilitate intra and inter-company decision making
• Contribute to exit strategy as needed and lead execution plans accordingly.

Integration Leadership
• Proactively facilitate opt-in decision making and lead organizational readiness by forming and leading integration team
• Partner with functions, stakeholders (DAS leaders, Sr. mgt.), ICs and external partners to plan for efficient transfer of documents, materials, technology and databases into Janssen systems, to ensure seamless and continuous development of in-licensed assets in Janssen.

Divestiture:
• Partner with CDTL, DASs and BD to form divestiture strategy and facilitate dossier and document preparation for partnering
• Populate data room, prepare presentations and lead the teams to work with BD for partnering
• Provide support to BD and partners in transferring the asset documents, materials, and technology
• Be the point person to fulfill Janssen obligations with the partner.



Qualifications
Requirements
• Bachelors degree required, Ph.D. or MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in drug development, matrix leadership, alliance management required
• Strong relationship management of stakeholders at all levels of seniority
• Negotiation, influencing, conflict resolution skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
