The BUSINESS ANALYST – SURGICAL works closely with management to provide analysis and reporting on current and future sales and market initiatives.  Provide technical support for global Business Intelligence systems used by Cataract and Refractive business units.  Provide backup and support for the Sales Operations group.
Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
  • Provide analytical support to the Americas Sales, Marketing and Finance teams.
  • Works closely with management team to provide analysis and reporting on current and future sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Provide backup technical support for Business Intelligence systems used by Cataract and Refractive business units.
  • Generate, review and distribute weekly and monthly dashboard reports to finance, marketing and sales personnel.
  • Provide routine and ad hoc reports to various internal sales, marketing and finance members to help identify potential revenue growth opportunities to help achieve business unit objectives.
  • Support management with in-depth analysis of sales metrics related to procedure volume and equipment.
  • Acts as liaison between various departments.
  • Support and adhere to Company’s core values.
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required; preferably in Business or Accounting
  • A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in analytical role is required
  • Business Objects and SAP experience is an asset
  • Intermediate-to-Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and Microsoft Access database development skills (or any relational database application) is required
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and deliver on tight deadlines/timelines is required
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience using data and analytics to influence decisions is preferred
  • Ability to solve problems and exercise independent judgment is required
  • This position is located in Santa Ana, CA and will require up to 5% of domestic travel
