Janssen Scientific Affairs, LLC, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Senior Medical Science Liaison, Infectious Diseases to cover the following region: South Florida. Key territory to include Tampa, Fort Lauderdale and Miami. Preferred candidate to live in the region.
 
The Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr. MSL) provides on-label product and disease state presentations to key opinion leaders and to population-health decision makers along with responding to unsolicited medical information requests from health care providers. The Sr. MSL champions investigator- initiated proposal concepts, provides research support for company sponsored studies and attends scientific conferences. Sr. MSLs assist in leadership and mentoring activities for the team, as directed and proactively identified.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • HCP and Investigator relationships; The Sr. MSL is responsible for providing fair balanced, objective, scientific information and appropriate product education to key opinion leaders and population health decision makers in compliance with all policies and procedures. The Sr. MSL is responsible for building external relationships with recognized experts in the therapeutic area, with the ability to identify and effectively engage in scientific exchange.
  • The Sr. MSL attends scientific conferences to gather and understand new scientific information relevant to the company and the external scientific community.

Qualifications
Education:
 
A minimum of a PharmD, MD/DO, or PhD, is required. Will consider PA or NP with equivalent experience. At least 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry (as a Medical Liaison or equivalent) or in a clinical/academic setting also required. Clinical experience in the field of HIV is strongly preferred. Prior experience in research and/or with analysis of clinical research data or exposure to pharmaceutical industry interactions as an employee or key customer is strongly preferred.
 
Experience and Skills:
 
Proficiency with the utilization of computer, applications and experience with the Microsoft platform (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel) is required.
