Johnson & Johnson Technology Services is recruiting for an Enterprise Monitoring Engineer based in Raritan, NJ. The Enterprise Monitoring Engineer will play a key role in the engineering and management of monitoring and systems management solutions. He or she will be expected to continuously improve processes and controls that fall within the range of his / her responsibilities. He or she will work with business partners to understand requirements in order to provide robust solutions.

 This position will be global in scope and requires a customer service focus. He or she will be responsible for enterprise monitoring engineering which includes the design, configuration, development, implementation, documentation and support of monitoring environments. Ideal candidates will have experience developing and deploying modern fault/element/alarm management systems and working with event correlation for large organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, engineer and implement robust and cost-effective monitoring environments, leveraging emerging technologies.
• In coordination with business partners, design, engineer and deliver technology solutions across all production and pre¬production environments.
• Partner with support teams to design and implement integrations among various processes and tools which will include detailed rules and procedures for identifying and resolving incidents related to the area of responsibility.
• Identify potential areas where existing capabilities and processes require change and where new ones need to be developed, especially to meet future business demands.
• Drive a high standard of quality and consistency across the monitoring environment by maintaining and improving the standards within the monitoring team and to evangelize good practice.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess near- and long-term monitoring capacity requirements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation as it relates to monitoring configuration, mapping, processes and service records.
• Conduct research on monitoring products, services and standards to remain abreast of developments in the enterprise monitoring and tools industry.
• Monitors monitoring systems performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
• Generate, assess and improve alerting with a focus on proactive alerts and self-healing.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.



Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
• Minimum of three years of experience developing and maintaining enterprise monitoring environments required
• Expertise in designing and implementing large, global, multi-tool, multi-platform enterprise monitoring systems is required
• Ability to integrate multiple, diverse heterogeneous tools and systems is required
• Strong Knowledge of other element manager with emphasis on integration with Manager of Managers (MoM) including SCOM, OVO/OM, OEM, SAP Solution Manager, HP SIM, Dell OpenManage, vROps/Log Insight
• Expertise in scripting languages (Ruby, Python, Perl, etc..) to automate tasks and analyze data is required
• Experience with IBM Tivoli Netcool Omnibus desired
• Experience with Moogsoft AIOps desired
• Expertise in Linux and Windows Server operating systems greatly desired
• Scripting fluency in REST, JSON, SNMP and Web services desired
• Experience with SQL (queries, linked servers, ETL, etc.) preferred
• Knowledge of SDLC and IT Infrastructure Library (ITILv3) preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot via logs required
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow as an ITIL operator preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills to support management and problem-solving functions of this role
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent judgment and discretion; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and to meet deadlines in high pressure scenarios

Must be able to work independently and productively with minimal supervision.
