Global Logistics Procurement strives to strengthen customer trust by providing enterprise customer & logistics services that enhance the customer experience while ensuring a safe and compliant supply chain.
This professional will be responsible for developing and overseeing the Sourcing of the distribution, transportation network, and delivery strategy for the geography.
Will supervise direct employees in the distribution area procurement area and teams of people working on strategic sourcing initiatives in the geography.

Task & Responsibilities:

•Act as primary point of contact between Global Logistics Procurement and Supply Chain leadership in the LATAM region

•Lead the generation & implementation region-wide / cross-sector transportation & logistics sourcing strategy, as a key enabler of overall enterprise supply chain strategies

•Sourcing Strategy: Manage all logistics (Transportation & Distribution) provider sourcing activities; design and implement sourcing logistic category strategy, in partnership with Deliver operations, to guarantee best sourcing solution to business and operation requirements. Responsibilities include organizing data collection, compilation and analysis of data, RFP execution and implementation. Drives the supplier sourcing, selection, price negotiations, and commercial management for preferred global carriers. Actively leverage spend with preferred carriers to effect logistics savings across all JNJ Sectors/Regions.

•Provide leadership to ensure value is achieved in all key dimensions including trade compliance, security, enhanced service & cost savings via effective supplier relationship management (SRM), technology, and alignment with customer needs

•Support the Network Optimization process through logistics sourcing events in accordance with Global standards and in collaboration with the Director, Strategy and Supply Chain Capability & Business Services

•Lead sourcing and contract negotiations per regional needs to effect cost savings for all logistics providers in the region, including but not limited to freight forwarders, customs brokers, 3PL & 4PL; Supplier Relationship Management: manage supplier commercial communications, including sourcing event invitations, pricing terms negotiations and quotations.

•Contract Management: Develops Contracts and Service Level Agreements frameworks/standards/terms and conditions and maintains global contract repository; manage contract expiration timeline, ensure rate agreements and contracts are signed, negotiate and coordinate required contract renews, addendums and terminations through effective in partnership with Deliver operation, suppliers and legal;. Act as Global Transportation interface with JNJ Legal where it pertains to global contracts and service level agreements

•Preferred Logistics Providers: develop regional preferred suppliers, leveraging suppliers agreements/volumes and reducing complexity.

•Procurement Policies and Procedures: develop and implement a governance for Logistics sourcing policies and procedures, ensure logistic procurement employees are trained.

•Directs and participates in the recruitment, selection, and performance management of personnel on the LATAM Global Logistics Procurement Team. Evaluate process needs, resolve problems and obstacles, reset direction and maximize effective interactions and functioning.

•Meets with Regional and Local cross-functional management staff to participate in structure design and alignment including succession planning. Define profiles and establish benchmarking standards including KPI’s for regional logistics leads and other key positions.

•Participates in the development of department strategic plans and business objectives. Participates on Global Logistics Procurement Leadership team

•LATAM Remediation – Execute CIA deliverables to ensure LATAM Procurement organization is operating within the J&J Procurement guidelines.

Qualifications
•Bachelor in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related areas, MBA is a plus

•Solid Logistics and/or Procurement experience.

•Experience working in a highly matrix, global organization is critical for success.

•Fluency in English (written & oral), Portuguese and Spanish (oral)

•LEAN/SIX SIGMA / APICS

•Strong business acumen and understanding of the end to end supply chain

•Strategic sourcing/Procurement and negotiations experience (including contracts) is highly desirable

•Communication - Clearly conveying information, plans, budgets, and ideas through a variety of media to individuals, JNJ Opco’s, suppliers, and service providers, etc.
