Auris is looking for a Senior Software Test Automation Engineer who will support the development and sustaining of automated test equipment. You will work closely with multi-functional engineering teams to design and develop manufacturing equipment that is robust, scalable, and ergonomically safe.

As a member of the Manufacturing Engineering team, you will be contributing to the design and development of automated testing systems, develop user interfaces for testing systems and data structures and help sustain and improve manufacturing process. Finally, help expand the manufacturing line to meet rapidly growing demand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with R&D and manufacturing engineers to improve and optimize current automated testing systems using Python and C++.
  • Provide hands-on, troubleshooting, process and manufacturing support as well as designing, implementing, integrating and testing hardware solutions in a fast pace environment with a quick development cycle.
  • Integral part of a team to design next generation tooling for yield improvement and cycle time reduction.
  • Build design solutions utilizing engineering methods with good documentation processes, releasing design documentation through an ECO process.
  • Push the boundaries on the testing equipment to raise quality and improve approach to testing
  • Must be capable of working independently and in a team while being flexible, self-motivated, curious and willing to revolutionize the world of medical robotics.
  • Other related duties as may be assigned


Qualifications
Education:
  • BSME, BSEE, or similar required with 5+ years of experience. MSME or MSEE with 2 + years of experience.

Experience and Skills:

  • Proficient programming experience in Python and C++, required.
  • Proven experience in improving existing testing systems and data infrastructure.
  • Sustained and Improved electromechanical testing systems.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities thriving in a fast paced work environment
Preferred:
  • Image analysis experience is helpful
  • Experience in production, maintenance or engineering experience in a high volume manufacturing environment or similar.
  • Hands-on with the proven ability to work well in a cross functional team environment.
  • Sustained and Improved electromechanical testing systems.
  • Familiarity with FDA, GMP and ISO requirements.

This position is located in Redwood City, CA and may require up to 10% travel.
