The co-op will contribute to antibody discovery by learning and applying hybridomas generation and high-throughput screening methodology. The opportunity would be mutually beneficial, as the co-op would provide appreciated band-width while learning about a core function in the field of biotechnology.

 

The Hybridoma could use the extra band-width to meet high demands.  The co-op gets an introduction to the therapeutic mAb discovery process and an introduction to the field of immunology.

 
Job Description:
  • The co-op will contribute to therapeutic antibody discovery by learning and applying hybridoma generation and high-throughput screening methodology. 
  • The opportunity would be beneficial by providing an in-depth insight into a core function in the field of biotechnology and drug discovery. 
  • There will be an opportunity to contribute to the development of new technologies, specifically, the development of advanced animal immunization protocols and high-throughput screening protocols.
  • This is also a great opportunity to learn fundamental and advanced concepts in immunology and immuno-oncology, which has become a very prominent discipline in modern medicine.  

Qualifications
Qualifications:
 
  • Previous experience with mammalian cell culture, ELISA, and cell and biochemical assay development is desired but not required.
  • Co-Ops must be able to work 40 hours a week.
  • Students must be able to provide their own transportation to this location.
  • Students must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require future sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future.
