Detailed Scheduler - 15 month contract

You will expand the Master Production Schedule (MPS) into a Detailed Schedule for processing and packaging, allocating product sku’s onto the individual shop floor work centers. You will generate a Detailed Schedule that maximizes machine and labour efficiency while meeting Customer Service requirements and inventory targets. You will provide proactive, clear, concise and accurate information to internal and external partners regarding issues, potential delays and deviations to the schedule. You will provide recommendations to improve production efficiencies and cycle times.
Allocate the net production requirements to dedicated manufacturing work centers respecting both customer service and production needs.
Maintain the accuracy of the schedule, notifying key partners proactively in case of issues, unforeseen or foreseen constraints
Provide recommendations to Operations to adjust resources, work overtime or subcontract work to balance overall manufacturing capacity
Track and report capacity hours, schedule attainment and backlog. Generate reason codes and pareto analysis for misses. Provide recommendations and supports root cause / problem solving.
Organize and coordinate weekly (and ad hoc) meetings with Production Supervisors to ensure alignment with the detailed schedule.
Work with production team to maintain accurate planning & scheduling parameters.
Work with internal teams to find solutions to machine, manpower, and material shortage concerns in a timely manner.
Recommend potential solutions to improve production performance and efficiency, including cycle time improvements.
Work with Master Production Scheduler and Procurement teams to meet inventory and safety stock targets.
Incorporate R&D and other Project requirements into the Schedule while balancing their needs with commercial production.
Provide alternative scheduling scenarios to assist with BCP decision-making.
Develop and maintain the Bulk MPS and Rough Cut Capacity Plan.
Support and back up the Master Production Scheduler as required.
University Bachelor degree or equivalent.
Minimum 3+ years previous work experience in planning, procurement, manufacturing, or scheduling.
Knowledge, Skills and Capabilities:
Strong analytical skills – be able to relate & compare, securing meaningful information and identifying key issues.
You are able to demonstrate scheduling expertise, critical thinking, and successful leadership.
Strong decision-making and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence.
Demonstrate initiative and lateral thinking for problem solving.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and have a sense of urgency.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
Familiarity with (local) regulations and GMP is desirable.
Up to 10% travel required.
