JBIO works on projects from five Therapeutic Areas (TA) and enables discovery and validation of new therapeutic concepts in collaboration with TA discovery counterparts. The Flow Core Manager will provide core support to teams investigating diverse therapeutic MOAs, including monoclonal antibodies, multispecifics, chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells, and viral vector-based gene therapies. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: daily setup and routine maintenance for the department’s 8+ instruments, training researchers in flow cytometry experimental design and new instrumentation, and evaluating novel technologies and platforms to incorporate into JBIO workflows.


As the Flow Core Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing daily start-up and maintenance for suite of instruments including BD ( Symphony, Fortessa, AriaFusion, Intellicty iQue )
  • Troubleshooting and coordinating external technical support when complications arise
  • Assisting with inventory, ordering, and stocking of supplies
  • Supporting cell sorting experiments
  • Training researchers in the use of new instruments
  • Supporting flow core users in experimental design for complex immunophenotyping and functional assays
  • Evaluating novel technologies and instrumentation; organizing demos, seminars, and training sessions to maintain cutting-edge research capabilities within department
  • Monitoring instrument usage and projecting future equipment/budgetary needs to support a growing organization
  • Fostering a collaborative and innovative culture of scientific discovery
