Based in Markham, Ontario, we employ approximately 400 people and are supported by a manufacturing site and R&D facility located in Guelph, Ontario.

We are seeking a results and performance driven individual that has high energy, is adaptable, customer focused and able to work independently, as well as a part of a cross-functional team. This is the role for you if have strong interpersonal, technical & analytical, problem solving, oral and written communication skills, if you can work in a dynamic and team orientated environment, and if you have experience in trade deductions clearing, finance, accounting, accounts receivable or similar functions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Validate customer deduction claims for legitimacy.
• Coordinate the accurate and timely approval of customer deductions with key stakeholders.
• Perform the clearing of trade deductions to customer accounts.
• Identify and initiate the satisfactory resolution of un-authorized customer deductions.
• Ensure the accurate interfacing between Trade Promotion Management and SAP for deduction documents and resolve any interface errors with IT.
• Deliver on Trade Deductions Clearing Key Performance Indicators.
• Compile accurate, timely and insightful Trade Deduction performance management reports.
• Develop and implement process improvements to drive gains in efficiency & effectiveness on trade deductions clearing, leading to P&L savings.
• Collaborate with IT partners to identify and resolve any technical issues and look to continuously improve the process and reporting capabilities for clearing deductions in TPM.

• Minimum of a University degree is required.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive business experience is required. Experience in finance, trade deductions clearing, accounting, accounts receivable or similar functions preferred.
• Pharmaceutical or Consumer Packaged Goods industry experience is preferred.
• Strong computer skills and deep working knowledge of MS Office (Excel).
• SAP Experience is preferred.
• Trade Promotions Systems experience is preferred (e.g. Demantra etc.)
• Strong oral and written skills in English is required.
• Bilingualism (French/English) is preferred.
• Experience of Accounts Receivable is preferred.
• Strong teamwork, relationship building and customer focus skills.

• The expectation is that this is a primarily office-based job, due to the required interactions with various stakeholders (e.g. account teams).
