The Director will be responsible for supporting acceleration of the Skin Health brands in China with accountability for gathering China insights and ensuring that activity is appropriate to the China market in terms of development of new product line extensions, agile commercial innovation, claims and packaging innovation and deployment of new technologies and benefit platforms. In addition, this person will support the local marketing team to activate innovation with customers and consumers and contribute to the achievement of revenue and profit targets.

Specifically, the Director will:

·        Deploy proven Skin Health playbooks and regional brand strategy into China market.

o   Lead local project team, interface with the region, partnering w/ local R&D, supply chain, PMO, CBI, Packaging and Design to conceptualize, research and develop commercial initiatives and deploy global pipeline into China. 


·        Lead the China Skin Health brands with deep understanding of China local financial plan, market needs, consumer fundamentals and customer KPIs

o   Develop close partnership with China commercial leaders and cross functional team

o   Gain local insight / market intimacy to ensure design plans meet China operating plan goals

§  Partner with local team on strategic priorities and deliver innovation pipeline

§  Use big data to generate powerful consumer insights as input to deployment of technologies and platforms and development of commercial innovation

o   Develop a local network of entrepreneurs and external marketing innovation suppliers, partnering with the region and engaging with IC and JLabs for local commercial partnership and opportunities 

o   Partner on local P&L initiatives including CIP, RGM, portfolio and pricing recommendations to China market


The Director will share ownership of the local China Skin Health P&L, equity and innovation goals,
with a strong working knowledge of local business dynamics and shared ownership of activities that drive monthly business performance (NTS and Share). He/she will operate with agility, curiosity and an entrepreneurial mindset to innovate, learn and champion best practices deployment into China. This person will be responsible for creating a high-performance environment and culture of collaboration and innovation with cross functional partners and marketing counterparts. In addition, this person will have responsibility for coaching and developing their direct report team.


n  A BA degree is required.  Master in business or marketing specialization preferred. 

n  A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in setting a vision and executing in a similar integrated brand leadership role within a consumer-packaged goods organization, preferably with a breadth of functional and/or industry experience is required. Skin Health or Beauty category experience is preferred.

n  Experience marketing in a digital world, (i.e., social media, e-commerce, analytics, on-line) is required.

n  Experience leading in a matrix environment and cross functional teams is required.

n  Demonstrated track record of people development and leadership is required

n  Demonstrated financial acumen in making effective business decisions is required.

n  Demonstrated skill in executing and delivering brand / marketing leadership in a similar integrated brand leadership role is required.

n  Experience in successful partnership with R&D organizations to develop innovative products supported by specific and relevant brand messaging is required.

n  Proven success in developing strategic agency partnerships to build long term brand health and business.

n  Fluency in English is required.

n  Ability to travel up to 20% is required.
