Johnson & Johnson is looking for a Business Development Manager, to be based in the company's partner distributor's office.

Overall Responsibility

The Business Development Manager ensures the effective and efficient management of distributor operations towards the achievement of pervasive distribution of J&J products and the application of company processes. It includes the creation of learning programs to develop the skills of the distributors they cover, establishment of systems and processes that enable performance, and participation in the strategic planning process.

Principal Responsibilities 

  • Modern Trade Policies. Establishes and reinforces within the MT sector and extending to distributors any and all policies required to ensure the delivery of goods and services to customers consistent with J&J operating standards. Whenever possible, J&J policies are mirrored into distributor policies. In cases when there may be no J&J protocol to address a specific situation, the BDM ensures an appropriate policy is created and applied to guide distributor procedures.
  • Distributor Operations Effectiveness. Establishes the right systems, processes and tools that will enable the Modern Trade team to deliver Key Performance metrics according to sector standards. Best practices are documented for sharing across sites
  • MT Competency Development. Defines the competencies that enable distributor teams to meet customer needs and achieve performance goals. Develops the courses and learning methodology to build the targeted competencies. 


Qualifications
Education
  • Graduate of a college or university course in Business Management or any equivalent course.

Professional Experience
  • At least six (6) years sales management experience in a fast-moving consumer goods company, with a minimum of six (6) years managing a distributor.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong sense of accountability and responsibility
  • Adept at developing strategic business plans
  • A quick learner and highly adaptable to change
  • Advanced financial analysis to understand and assess standard financial statements (i.e. P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
  • Proficient communication skills: oral and written business correspondence, presentation planning and delivery
  • Intermediate MS Office capabilities: Excel, MS Word, Powerpoint
  • Willing to travel and go on fieldwork
