The qualified candidate must be able to communicate & coordinate with customers and stakeholders regarding schedule and impact of work being performed. He/she will provides electrical related expertise for specific concentrated areas within facility department. Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting electrical distribution issues throughout manufacturing site Oversee contractors working on the site electrical distribution system and support systems. Capable of handling all electrical issues that arise in the plant electrical distribution system.

 

Under minimal supervision, performs all responsible tasks necessary to operate, trouble shoot, service, adjust, repair and maintain facilities equipment and utilities supporting manufacturing processes. Able to perform a variety of tasks included but not limited to monitoring and adjustment of utilities to improve throughput and equipment efficiency and implementation of corrective actions. Able to perform routine cleaning, housekeeping and non-routine maintenance with adherence to all safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures.

Equipment Set-up, Start-up checks, Trouble-shooting, and repair.

  • Able to order and receive material and perform the required identification and use on applicable business systems.
  • Perform and document equipment repairs as per Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Startup, operate and shutdown equipment as per procedures.
  • Follow environmental health and safety procedures during startup, shutdown, trouble shooting, and operation of equipment.
  • Perform set up, adjustment, troubleshooting and repair on a broad range of plant electrical equipment to operate efficiently, reliably, and within compliance standards. Read, interpret & draw equipment diagrams in support of equipment repair & design
  • Adjust equipment to optimize performance. Troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime. Propose long term improvements to equipment as continuous improvement.
 

Equipment Cleaning & Housekeeping

  • Disassemble equipment to facilitate cleaning and ensure clean equipment/workspace at task completion.
  • Perform manual cleaning of facilities and utilities equipment and room/suite.
  • Utilize control systems and appropriate instrumentation to clean major equipment.
  • Maintain 5S status of facility maintenance areas.
Systems Knowledge
    • Utilize tools within MS office and other systems to improve business effectiveness
    • Exposure to electronic batch records and/or other automated processes/systems (labs).
    • Basic Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) system knowledge.
    • Basic knowledge of an automated system.
 
Compliance-Safety; GMP, Facilities
    • Attend GMP training on the schedule designated for the role and as appropriate for the role.
    • Adhering to strict compliance with procedures according to the roles and responsibilities.
    • Exercises the highest level of integrity in the tasks performed.
    • In a timely and prompt manner, identify, report and seek correction for deviations noted in the workplace.
    • Embrace a behavior of employee involvement and commitment to doing the job right the first time.
    • Strong working GMP knowledge. Communicates and identifies GMP gaps.
    • Takes necessary action to eliminate and immediately address safety hazards. Communicate any observed unsafe behaviors immediately.
    • Understands the safety concerns and promotes a safety conscience culture for their job function.
    • Wears the appropriate PPE when working in manufacturing and other hazardous working environments and advocates standards of safety.
    • Maintains facility and work area in good working condition.
    • Works with team to ensure all aspects of business remain compliant.
 


Qualifications
  • High school diploma/secondary education or equivalent and/or technical certification or relative trade experience as a journeyman electrician.
  • A licensed electrician preferred
  • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a regulated and automated manufacturing environment
  • Pharmaceutical/GMP experience is  preferred
  • Candidates must be able to meet the physical demand of that this position requires: continuous lifting and/or moving from 5 to 25lbs. weight material, and frequent lifting or moving average (25-50 lbs.) weight material. REQUIRED                             ·
  • Must have a proven ability to interact with other operators, management, and groups inside and outside of Manufacturing.
  • Candidates must have a basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Required
  • A working knowledge of Facility Automation Systems (i.e. Honeywell, Siemens, SAP) is preferred.
  • This role will be located in Fort Washington, PA and will be a Mon-Fri day shift 7:00 AM -3:30 PM.
