Job Description


  • Develops vision, mission, goals for the regional DePuy Synthes Commercial Education organization aligned to DePuy Synthes Franchise strategic roadmap and DePuy Synthes business plan
  • Designs and executes an integrated regional Commercial Education organization for DePuy Synthes. Accountable for managing the regional commercial education solutions team
  • Provides technical training for employees within the DPS Asia Pacific sales force
  • Develops, maintains and enhances training materials that meet Compliance & Regulatory requirements (Copy Approval) and GES standards
  • Facilitates skills-based practical workshops for participants to ensure understanding of operative procedures and responsiveness to surgeon needs
  • Takes Independent responsibility of running the commercial education for trauma & CMF while overseeing the commercial education for spine, Joints & Mitek

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Sets vision, mission, goals for DePuy Synthes Commercial Education team assuring alignment with WW and Region Marketing strategy
  • Build strong instructional design capability for commercial education ensuring integration for adult learning principles in all learning experiences
  • Lead the governance of DePuy Synthes Commercial Education regionally to ensure standardization and regional needs are met in alignment to business effectiveness
  • Deploy learning continuums for internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborates with Digital Education Solutions (DES) to provide business insights, integrate DES products into the DePuy Synthes Commercial Education Ecosystems and maximize the data and analytics capabilities to drive business decision
  • Designs, plans and conducts laboratory exercises, including cadaver labs
  • Continuously revises and updates training materials and content for the benefit of the learner
  • Manage contracts for the engagement of HCPs to run assigned surgeon-led sales training
  • Provides relevant technical training for employees in parts of the organization other than sales, including Product Development, manufacturing and corporate
  • Liaises with Marketing and Product Managers to facilitate training for new products in advance of market release
  • Negotiates with Country Leads and staff on training needs and resources
  • Maintains regular communication with product development team and Marketing to share information and address issues
  • Demonstrates a high level of technical, product and clinical knowledge
  • Maintains and enhance technical and market knowledge through regular field visits, attendance at related courses and self-study
  • Knows and follows all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintain the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times
  • Assists peers with training facilitation as required
  • Maintains regular communication with GES Commercial Education team to align content, delivery and strategy
  • Partners with Commercial Education teams to execute GES governance projects & initiatives
  • Partners with Marketing and GES to drive successful new product launches in AP
  • Other training duties as assigned

Qualifications
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Required: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8 years managing in the areas of Learning/Education, Marketing and/or Sales in Medical Devices (DPS preferred)
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with diverse multi-functional teams across geographic boundaries
  • Proven ability to understand business strategy; translate it into solutions that support the company’s business goals.
  • Proven leadership ability to effectively motivate and manage a team including personnel who may be working in other locations in US and beyond

Preferred:
  • MBA preferred 
  • Previous Commercial experience
  • Experience working across markets – in particular China & Japan

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Strategy development and execution
  • Prior experience in Sales, Marketing, Sales Training, Strategy development and Analytics 
  • Strong influence management and communications skills
