Johnson & Johnson Vision (JJV) is recruiting for a Brand Manager for 1-day Acuvue Moist Multifocal UK/IRE, located in Wokingham UK. The role has day-to-day responsibility for this top priority sub brand, including both strategic and executional aspects.

ACUVUE is the #1 brand in the UK contact lens category and growing fast. In fact we are driving the category. We have big ambitions to double the penetration of contact lenses in the UK.

This role is within the UK/IRE marketing team for JJV, a small but lively team. You will be one of a number of marketers working on the ACUVUE® brand. You’ll be responsible for the top priority ACUVUE® sub brand (1-DAY ACUVUE® MOIST MULTIFOCAL Contact Lenses), and report into a Group Brand Manager. All JJV UK/IRE marketers works across both professional and consumer marketing, to both drive eye care professional advocacy, and consumer demand, for the brand.

Key responsibilities:
  • Drive performance by owning and delivering the strategic plan (annual business plan)
  • Health of business - monitoring of (sales, share, wearers. Analysis, insights and implications)
  • Source of growth/volume - identifying/defining
  • Competitor focus - monitor activity & derive insight
  • Sales force execution strategy liaising with overall sales force execution strategy lead

Excellence in execution and delivery of compelling Acuvue experience: 
  • Consumer outreach campaigns – media, PR, influencers
  • Sales force execution - selling decks, printed and other assets, national sales meeting training/briefing sessions
  • Professional plan including print & digital media, conferences in liaison with conferences lead
  • Creative/content – leverage global with locally-led work where necessary
  • Product lifecycle management (discontinuations, migration, NPD planning)
  • Forecasting of supply
  • Pricing

Unlock category growth by winning with our key account customers.

Drive contact lens category growth & maintain/grow Acuvue share within our key account customers by:
  • leading marketing aspects of specific projects/initiatives
  • building relationships with the relevant KA contacts (head office and store level)
  • consumer outreach specific to key account

The marketing team work closely with Professional Affairs, Key Accounts, and the Salesforce management team in the UK/IRE business. A strong customer (retailer) focus is an essential part of how we do business and you’ll also be part of a cross functional team specific to a leading UK customer in order to drive excellence in customer activation.

The role also involves working closely with the EMA marketing team on a UK lead market basis.

Qualifications
Education
  • Degree level education. Business/marketing/management ideal but not essential.

Experience and skills 

Required:
Seeking an established, very competent brand manager with the confidence and experience to take the reins in this high priority role quickly. Critical to be self sufficient, enthusiastic and focused on delivery. Solid consumer marketing skills and experience

Preferred:
Experience of marketing to healthcare professionals

Other:
  • Fluent English
  • Occasional travel around the UK e.g. conferences, work-with days with sales reps. Occasional trips within Europe (1 or 2 per year)
