Job Description


Responsible for leading the supply planning and ordering processes for a wide range of products sourced within the Asia pacific products, mainly from 3rd party manufacturers in the Skincare category of J&J Consumer division (baby & beauty strongholds).

 

The role is to secure supply continuity in the most efficient and proactive way, balancing customer service, working capital and costs imperatives.  

 

Effective and proactive communication with stakeholders across multiple functions is a critical part of the role along with the ability to identify and lead improvement opportunities in order to maintain a synchronized and agile end to end supply chain.

  
Key Responsibility Includes:
 

Supply Planning

  • Establish a robust governance to manage and track supply planning performance of the products sourced from External manufacturers in Asia Pacific region
  • Review Supply & demand outlook of the product categories
  • Identify supply risks and issues, define and communicate mitigation plans with all relevant stakeholders towards resolution
  • Review External Manufacturers production capacities and Materials supply strategies (raw and packaging)  and define plans to mitigate or resolve constraints
  • Periodic reviews of safety stock taking into account factors such as product demand profile & segmentations, business and supply chain strategic imperatives 
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationship and collaboration with third party manufacturers as well as other J&J stakeholders across different functions (Sourcing, External Manufacturing, QA, Project Management Office, Logistics, and local market supply chain)
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve or sustain external manufacturers supply chain performance and address chronic or systemic operational challenges following supply chain agility principles from a end to end perspective
  • Ensure Projects (e.g. NPD/NPI, re-sittings) are delivered on time

Team Management:
  • Manage a team of regional supply planning executives/associate managers
  • People capability and career development
 

The position will be measured primarily on:

  • Customer Service Level: UFR, OTIF 
  • Inventory
  • Reliability & Agility metrics (DBNR, MOQs, Supplier reliability)
  • Master Data Accuracy


Qualifications
Skills & Competencies Requirement:
  • Bachelor Degree or other diplomas in supply chain & logistics management with min 5-7 years relevant experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Leadership & Stakeholders Management
  • Impact and influence skills
  • Team management
  • Previous consumer goods experience will be valued
  • Previous experience of SAP is desired, ideally with APO
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, highly dynamic and ever changing environment
  • Regional languages would certainly be an asset (Mandarin / Bahasa Indonesia)
  • Ability to work as part of a team, yet under minimal supervision
  • Good understanding of international trade, incoterms, shipping & customs complexities, SoX, GMP/Quality
  • Travel requirement is about 10-20% in South East Asia
