Position Summary 

The ASPAC Transition Procurement Lead (Procurement Project Manager) is responsible for managing and driving projects transitioning work into J&J Global Services (GS) or move existing J&J GS work to global hubs. This role is responsible for building strong relationships with the GS organization while executing procurement transition projects following the standard playbook materials.

The ASPAC Transitions Procurement Lead will be responsible for management of the entire transition lifecycle, from project assessment (including value case) through go-live of services and supporting hyper-care until stabilization of operations. The ideal candidate will have strong background in project management, customer engagement, stakeholder management and excellent communication skills to senior stakeholders. Candidate must be skilled at working within a shared services organization with cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders.

The position will report into the ASPAC Transitions Implementation COE Lead. 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of procurement transition projects. Manage the lifecycle of transition projects from assessment to project completion.
• Serve as a global transition management subject matter expert; proactively monitoring and leveraging industry leading practices and building external relationships.
• Support the development of a comprehensive and sustainable transition management strategy and toolkit that supports the long-term J&J GS strategy and business goals.
• Build strong partnerships with the service delivery organizations to understand areas of opportunity such as challenges, improvement areas as well as potential new demand coming into portfolio.
• Partner with J&J GS Procurement Service Delivery, Portfolio and GS supporting teams to understand, plan and execute procurement transition activities internal to J&J GS.
• Partner with J&J GS customers to understand, plan and manage procurement transition activities external to J&J Global Services.
• Drive project management activities including solution design proposal, budget development, assessments, value cases, organization design approvals, process documentation, managing knowledge transfer, cut-over activities / schedules, developing project-related communications and plans.
• Maintain open and transparent communication channel with J&J GS site and functional leaders by summarizing and reporting on procurement project transition updates, risk and issues
• Provide leadership, direction, coaching, feedback, and, where appropriate, discipline to and through subordinate team members.
• Oversee selection, interview, hiring, and onboarding process for project management resources supporting procurement transition projects.
• Manage and motivate project team members to achieve and exceed expectations by identifying resource gaps, allocating time to listen, monitor and provide constructive feedback for mitigation approaches.
• Develop capability, knowledge, skills and understanding of the region and function by participating in knowledge sharing activities with counterparts.

• Bachelor's degree holder
• 5+ years progressive Project Management experience in a shared services organization, preferably Finance, or Procurement
• Preferably with Globally certified project manager with active certification (e.g. PMP, Prince 2, CSM).
• Possess a knowledge of various project management/continuous improvement methodologies (i.e.; PMI, FPX, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma etc.)
• Effective and strong partnership and relationship building skills with key stakeholders
• Ability to reinforce a culture focused on continuous improvement while building employee-centric repeatable and sustainable processes
• Track record to drive business results – identifies and capitalizes on opportunities, identifies risks/issues, assesses implications, formulates recommendations, and drives sound decisions that deliver results
