Position Summary 

The Global Logistics Management Lead (Project Logistics Manager) is responsible for the management of activities involved in sourcing, acquiring, allocating and distributing agreed-upon resources across the J&J GS offices across the globe, including but not limited to the 5 GS sites (i.e. Bogota, Manila, Prague, Suzhou and Tampa) in order to meet the resourcing requirements of projects or programs managed under or have an impact to GS organization through coordination and collaboration with GS enabling partners, such as GSO (global site operations) for seat capacity and BCP (business continuity plan) requirement, IT for equipment allocation, TA (talent acquisition) for hiring information, Internal Finance for cost recovery forecasting, and other teams providing resourcing support, e.g. Procurement for contracting, HR for onboarding and training, etc.

The Global Logistics Management Lead must be able to work with the GS service delivery leaders or their delegates, as well as leaders of project or program teams across the various functions and businesses of the organization in ensuring the accuracy and relevance of the service infrastructure requirements, which includes, but not limited to, addition and/or reduction of headcount, laptops/computers, seats, licenses, etc. of approved projects/transitions for the impacted GS location. Regular status review meetings are then scheduled to monitor progress of the logistics and raise concerns when needed to ensure resource requirements are fulfilled.

The position will report into the Portfolio & Projects Management Director.

Major Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Strategically plan and manage the global logistics requirement for projects and programs and ensure service infrastructure support is available during project implementation.
• Coordinate with respective infrastructure-enabling teams in tracking headcount movement, IT supplies and materials provisions, seats availability, training rooms logistics, and other requirements needed during project or program progress. 
• Partner with J&J GS service delivery teams in ASPAC GS sites to plan and execute the logistics plan of activities internal to J&J GS.
• Coordinate and facilitate activities such as conducting assessments, building value cases, preparing process documentation, managing knowledge transfer, supporting cut-over activities, developing communications and providing other project management support.
• Maintain transparent communication channel with the J&J GS leaders by summarizing and reporting on updates and issues.
• Provide leadership, direction, coaching, feedback, and, where appropriate, discipline to and through subordinate team members.
• Oversee selection, interview and hiring process for “PM as a service” team members.
• Manage and motivate team members to achieve and exceed expectations by identifying performance gaps, allocating time to listen, monitor and provide constructive feedback for performance improvement.
• Develop capability, knowledge, skills and understanding of the region / country or J&J GS functions by organizing knowledge sharing activities for members of the team / region / country supported.
• Possess a knowledge of various project management/continuous improvement methodologies (i.e.; Agile, Lean, Six Sigma etc.)
• Embrace and lead a culture of inclusiveness and multi-cultural engagement through coaching and feedback to peers and the broader community in Global Services in alignment with the J&J’s Leadership imperatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree holder
• 5+ years progressive Project Management experience preferably in a shared services organization (preferably HR, Finance, Procurement, Real Estate/Facilities, or IT)
• Preferably with Globally certified project manager with active certification (e.g. PMP, Prince 2, CSM).
• Possess a knowledge of various project management/continuous improvement methodologies (i.e.; PMI, FPX, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma etc.)
• Effective and strong partnership and relationship building skills with key stakeholders
• Ability to reinforce a culture focused on continuous improvement while building employee-centric repeatable and sustainable processes
• Track record to drive business results – identifies and capitalizes on opportunities, identifies risks/issues, assesses implications, formulates recommendations, and drives sound decisions that deliver results
• Analytical and strategic thinker

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects, and daily planned and unplanned operational activities
