Job Description


The DELIVER organization strives to deliver an exceptional customer experience through leading critical customer-facing functions such as distribution, customer service, logistics, and transportation across the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies.

 

DELIVER supports all three sectors of Johnson & Johnson: Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical, and Consumer Products, and DELIVER AP manages a complex network of Distribution centers (DCs) and Customer Service centers across Asia-Pacific supporting multiple distribution channels to J&J’s broad range of customers. Since 2013, DELIVER has undertaken a complete review of its network and consolidated its footprint while driving best-in-class distribution operations, leveraging a third-party logistics sourcing base.

 

PURPOSE OF POSITION

  • Provide visibility to process maturity progression and impact and plans to address critical process gaps
  • Disseminate global process standards
  • Drives consistency in standards, practices and process with a continuous improvement mindset across customer service, distribution and transportation
 

RESPONSIBILITIES / PRINCIPAL DUTIES (Essential Functions)

  • Provide critical input to establish global process standards for Distribution & Transportation – inclusive of process flows, cadence, metrics
  • Build operational excellence mindset across the organization
  • Own APAC E2E Deliver process strategy and translation to a prioritized process roadmap with enabling technologies
  • Owner of APAC Deliver process maturity and business capability model and assessment process; ensure maturity and capability gaps identified, assessed and plans in place to address gaps
  • Partner with Global GPO to ensure continuity across projects and WoW in the Deliver organization
  • Guarantee consistency by following standards for process development
  • Standardize WoW and process across the broader Deliver organization
  • Ensure maturity and capability through driving accountability across the E2E APAC Deliver process governance team to deliver standard, reliable, efficient, documented, measured processes; ensures best practice sharing across leveraged model
  • Represent APAC in the Global GPO forum
  • Ensures global business process standards are deployed and maintained across Deliver including process flows, standard documentation (SOPs, etc.), exception governance and process compliance
  • Establish and leverage regional process owners to disseminate standards, drive adoption and govern approval of process exceptions
  • Ensure regional process owners monitor key performance metrics and failure mode owners and operations leadership
  • Lead process transformation through continuous process improvement methodology focused on operational productivity, efficiency and cost reduction to improve customer experience
  • Ensure reporting and analytics are in place to measure process efficacy and efficiency across core order fulfillment and E2E business processes


Qualifications
  • University degree (BA or BS) or equivalent, advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in several Deliver/Supply Chain/Customer Service roles
  • Experience or deep understanding of the various aspects of Deliver (Warehouse, Transportation, Customer Service,) and Supply Chain
  • Strong experience/understanding of process design, standards definition and implementation
  • Strong Customer orientation and pro-active attitude
  • Experience working in an international function and matrix environment
  • Experience in building best practices in Operations efficiency 
  • Expertise in process design and standards definition
  • Experience in Project Management (Lean 6Sigma preferred)
  • Strong ability to Influence outside of formal reporting lines
  • Ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships internally and externally with customer focus
  • Has led project management organizations and driven significant deployment engagements
  • Experience and success building best-in-class organization (e.g., building standards, designing processes)
  • Presence and persistence to face off with and be a challenge partner to business leaders throughout regional Deliver
