Position overview

DePuySynthes Companies of Johnson & Johnson is the largest, most comprehensive orthopedic and neurological business in the world. The industry, requirements and customer expectations are in a constant change. Package Development is directly affected by this. This role in will be essential to the Package Development Team in Zuchwil as it is capable to deal with future needs and requirements with internal and external stakeholders. It is a key position to streamline and harmonize processes and procedures within the package development organization wherever possible and needed. It will provide technical expertise in the area’s documentation, packaging specification and procedures. He/She will lead complex harmonization projects and initiatives to reduce complexity where it is needed by the business. The position will be located at our Headquarters in Zuchwil, Solothurn with some significant interaction and workload in our facilities in the US East Coast (mainly West Chester, PA).


Senior Package Development Engineer

(Process Excellence)

Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Responsibility for the internal and external processes and procedures, documentation systems and specification setup within the Package Development team.
  • Identify opportunities and organizational wins by establishing best practices in the field of documentation systems, specification setup within the Package Development organization
  • Packaging Expert for Internal and External Audits
  • Establish close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, with the target to constantly challenge current internal processes as well as interfaces to other departments in order to become faster and more agile while keeping a consistently high-quality output
  • Leads large scope, high business impact packaging projects related to Packaging Processes, Documentation, PLM systems and System integration initiatives, drives harmonization projects on a global / regional level wherever required and needed



Qualifications
  • Proven track record of a Minimum of 5 years in the Medical Industry with a bachelor’s degree or similar
  • Creative Team player
  • Significant Project Management skills
  • Individual that works independently with great problem-solving skills
  • Experience in Quality / R&D can be an asset
  • Strategic approach with the ability to challenge the status quo
  • Language requirements: English / (German)
