Job Description


Role: Supply Planner is responsible for delivering customer service level that is competitive in Japan market, balanced with optimal inventory investment based on demand plan developed by demand planner in line with commercial strategies. In this role, planner provides supply chain expertise, ensure execution of the supply plan partnering with APSC and local members in supply chain.

Customer Service
 
  • Ensure all key stakeholders understand key processes which contribute to customer service
  • Drive discussion on supply scenarios for items with potential risk, minimize impact by partnering with APSC, 3PL, and local team
  • Collaborate with local Sub Con Planner to ensure optimal customer service outcomes for locally reworked products
  • Analyse reasons for service failures, recommend and drive initiatives to prevent future occurrences
UFR, OTIF

Inventory Management

  • Agree on optimal safety stock level with APSC to ensure customer service levels are met with effective level of inventory
  • Review inventory related opportunities with franchise team, ensure the business derives maximum financial return on its inventory.
Inventory amount, DOS, SLOB, Write-Off

NPI/NPD

  • Partnering with project management team, APSC, and demand planner to ensure on-time supply planning and execution towards launch
  • Post-launch supply management collaborating with demand planner to achieve customer service and optimal inventory level

# of NPI/NPD’s launched on schedule, OTIF, Inventory level

Collaboration
  • Identify supply gap vs latest demand, figure out opportunities to close gap partnering with key stakeholders and demand planner
  • Partnering with APSC, maximize supply chain capabilities to support business growth with optimal level of inventory

Bachelor’s degree

APICS/IBF

Experience

Minimum 3yrs of professional experience in any area

Supply management experience, such as production/shipment schedule adjustment based on updated demand forecast, and inventory control

Skill

Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint

SAP R/3 and APO

Language

English: Intermediate (spoken and written)

Japanese: Fluent

English: Fluent
