The Assistant Demand & Supply Planner role is to support the Planning processes, including the New Product Introduction and Planning process for the New Zealand Joints business. A key objective to ensure the timeliness of new material and associated master data maintenance and the timely communication of any potential supply risks to the relevant ANZ Commercial teams.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Support regular Sales & Operations Planning meetings with relevant Sales & Marketing & Finance team members
  • Work with Regional Planning team & Marketing to decide phase in/out strategy and the optimal inventory levels to maximise sales opportunities while minimising ES&O from NPI
  • Product Portfolio review & recommend product rationalisation based on demand forecast
  • Maintain forecasts for inventory expiry determination
  • Working with source forecasting system to ensure latest marketing intelligence are reflected in the forecast
  • Coordinate & monitor material master workflow for responsible franchise after initial upload from marketing for Australian and New Zealand businesses.

To be successful in this role you will require the following:
  • Good understanding of inventory management concepts & processes
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills
  • Intermediate/advanced Excel skills
  • Good SAP knowledge, particularly the material master
  • Some experience in forecasting and MRP planning
  • Strong problem solving & analytical skills
  • Tertiary qualification, ideally in Supply Chain area
  • Experienced with advanced planning systems such as SAP, APO, OMP
  • Experience in S&OP or IBP
  • 2 years’ experience in Supply Chain or related field, desirable
