The Sales Engineer ‐ Power Tools is a new position established to support a growing business. The incumbent has some important duties and responsibilities to fulfill, with both short and long‐term goals to achieve.

As a Sales Engineer, you'll need to:


  • Develop an in‐depth knowledge of business products and value proposition
  • Follow industry trends and developments to shape growth strategies and business plans
  • Support the team in researching and identifying new business opportunities and viable income streams
  • Develop and present business proposals to internal and external stakeholders
  • Influence internal and external stakeholders toward achieving business objectives
  • Retain existing and establish new client relationships
  • Devise a process flow around Power Tool preventive maintenance

  • Achieve assigned overall business target for Power Tools
  • Work with stakeholders across a matrix structure
  • Work strategically ‐ carrying out necessary planning to implement operational changes
  • Liaise with the regulatory, supply chain, quality and finance teams as well as warehousing and logistics
  • departments as appropriate
  • Seek ways of improving the way the business operates
  • Manage institutional tender process and contracts
  • Manage new product launches
  • Manage existing product life cycle
  • Work with OT, CSSD, TSSU, BME, MMD personal on work flow processes around preventive maintenance
  • Conduct in‐service of new or existing product line for OT, CSSD, TSSU, BME and MMD personal
  • Manage budget for A&P, CME and Capex
  • Support surgical staff with application of products in the operating room
  • Plan and support practical workshops
  • Provide pre‐sales technical assistance and after‐sales support to customers
  • Responsible for the preparation of solution proposals and quotations for customers
  • Attend seminars, workshops, conferences and events locally or abroad as needed

The incumbent should have:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering
  • Preferably 2‐3 years in the medical device industry in a similar capacity
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to negotiate
  • Experience with capital and consumable sales
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • A willingness to work on occasional weekends and after office hours
