We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity in Regulatory Intelligence in our Global Regulatory Policy and Intelligence group.

 

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a passionate and focussed Regulatory Intelligence professional to provide regulatory information and analyses to the business for projects in development and on the market.

 

The Intelligence and Knowledge Management (I&KM) Individual Leader (Intelligence Lead) will develop situational analyses and recommendations that reflect the current regulatory landscape, the projected or desired future healthcare environment, and the needs of internal development programmes.  The Intelligence Lead will provide focused regulatory analysis and intelligence to impact regulatory strategy development for high priority projects and product issue management, primarily within the Janssen portfolio.  Monitor therapeutic area and Health Authority requirement specific news and major publications.  Develop and provide competitive benchmarking summaries and regulatory background packages.  Proactively update existing summaries and analyses, anticipating business needs for priority projects.  Directly contribute to the development of processes and initiatives to manage, disseminate, and retain business critical knowledge, including new regulatory requirements. Support global and regional policy initiatives.  Contribute to the evaluation and management of use of data sources including regulatory subscriptions and other databases.  Provide feedback and assess impact to members of the J&J community.  Maintain partnerships within the J&J intelligence and knowledge management communities to coordinate across organisations and maximise resources, leverage tools, and avoid duplication of effort. 

 

The Intelligence Lead will establish strong partnerships with regional regulatory leaders, other intelligence/benchmarking groups and other subject matter experts.  The Intelligence Lead will also contribute to facilitating access to analyses and information through regulatory knowledge sharing systems.



Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required.  Advanced degree in pharmacy, medicine, library & information science, or a life science-related discipline or equivalent experience preferred.  Experience in information searching and associated technology required.  Working knowledge of regulatory policy activities, gained within health authority, industry, or trade associations preferred.  Working knowledge of the regulatory framework and how that applies to pharmaceutical and healthcare product development required.  A minimum of 8 years of regulatory or medical product development experience required with a Bachelor’s degree OR a minimum of 6 years with an advanced degree. Track record of successful working in collaborative, matrixed environment.  Ability to work across different business and cultures on a worldwide basis.  Ability to make complex decisions that resolve regulatory or business issues and demonstrate acute understanding of the impact of decisions taken. Exercise excellent judgment in assessing priorities and initiating projects, both with and without direction.

 

This position may be based in Spring House, PA; Raritan, NJ; Titusville, NJ; Beerse, Belgium; Leiden, Netherlands; or High Wycombe, UK; and may require approximately 5% domestic and/or international travel.
