Job Summary:
  • Responsible for the overall performance of the Biosense Webster portfolio in the SEA region - Capital Equipment and Consumables
  • Collaborate with AP and Global partners for Marketing, Professional Education (ProfEd) and Commercial Education (CommEd) in SEA
  • Integrate ProfEd and CommEd in planning and execution of regional marketing strategies
  • Manage interface between Asia Pacific (AP) region, SEA region, and local BU leadership teams
  • Drive business planning and strategic planning processes in the region for the entire Biosense Webster portfolio
  • Lead portfolio prioritization taking into account AP regional and global direction and SEA market requirements
  • Engage KOLs and non-clinical stakeholders to generate customer and market insights
  • Ensure sound marketing plan and execution plan are in place to effectively deliver growth objectives

Job Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy, Planning & Competitive Analysis
  • Conception of marketing strategies, preparation of marketing plans and its implementation using Big Picture Marketing framework
  • Liaise with marketing and advertising agencies to build a strong product communication plan around portfolio for external branding
  • Work closely with sales team to have an in depth understanding of market trends and competitive activities and adjust marketing plans to respond to market needs
  • Provide monthly update on the execution of marketing strategies and competitor activities

Implement the Procedure Development & Marketing Activity

  • Extensive knowledge of Biosense Webster Products, how to analyze competitors, conduct research of their activities, market niches, products, and services, and analyze own organization's strengths and weaknesses to ensure ongoing competitive advantage
  • Prepare marketing plans to develop key procedures in SEA markets
  • Develop flexible and innovative go-to-market models to support the needs of our customers
  • Develop sales and clinical support materials for key procedures – workflow, cost/benefit analysis, case support strategy
  • Translate clinical insights into business strategy

Management of New Product Launch Projects, ProfEd Strategy & New Market Development Opportunities

  • Partner with AP Strategic Marketing, ProfEd & New Technology teams to generate insights on key strategies and activities that will strengthen access to target external stakeholder groups
  • Lead Regional Clinical Education Manager to manage CME & ProfEd programs – Physicians & Allied Health Professionals.
  • Engage KOLs to assess current needs and future opportunities.
  • Identify & develop Tier 2 physicians & fellows
  • Lead New Product Introduction in key accounts

Internal Stakeholder Management & Dotted Line Responsibilities
  • Develops and implements strategies which are aimed at influencing a broad range of stakeholders with differing viewpoints and positions
  • Supports LoC Sales Managers on the management of their Sales & Clinical teams
  • Lead Regional Clinical Education Manager to manage Internal training activities

Financial and Business Results
  • Participate in Business Reviews. Contribute to the delivery of over-all business plan for Biosense Webster SEA
  • Manage budget for T&E, A&P, CME & ProfEd programs
  • Ensure programs are organized in a manner compliant with HCC

Transfer of Success Models (TSM)
  • Study the successful business models from Asia Pacific and Global teams, and subsequently customize and implement them in Southeast Asia
  • Identify and transfer of Best Practice Sharing across the sales teams within Southeast Asia

Other Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Asia Pacific or Global teams to get alignment on new product introductions. Maintain robust New Product Introduction plan to create a competitive advantage for sales teams
  • Ensure product competence of sales force through regular product training and updates
  • Develop pricing strategy for local Marketing or Sales Managers either based on cost-based pricing, competitive pricing or customer-based pricing before the launch of products or during market assessments
  • Life cycle management of existing portfolio as NPIs enter the markets

Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Admin, Medicine, Nursing, Medical Technology, Biomedical Engineering or Biomedical Sciences

Professional Experience Requirements:

  • >5 years’ experience in the healthcare setting in Electrophysiology or Medical Devices. Sales/Marketing experience of 2-5 years
  • A strong team player with outstanding interpersonal, communication & presentation skills. Good command of English language
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities, ability to influence a broad range of stakeholders & excels at Business Development/Marketing
  • People management experience (preferred)
  • Relevant experience in the Southeast Asia region (preferred)
  • Must have in-depth understanding of the medical device industry
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, multi-cultural communication and leadership skills are essential to incumbent’s success

Other Requirements:
  • Demonstrated superior leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present to all levels of the company, including executive management
  • Capable of handling multiple projects/tasks simultaneously in highly dynamic and stressful environments
  • Ability to work harmoniously in cross functional, team-based environment and effectively manage change at all levels of the supply/demand process
  • Ability to travel within Southeast Asia region up to 40% - 50%
  • Position is to be based in Southeast Asia (any country)
  • Reporting to Senior Director for Medical Devices & Key Account Management – J&J Southeast Asia
