Regional Engineering Director

Regional Director, Engineering, will lead the development and management of a portfolio of Supply Chain improvement projects to drive Quality, Growth, Delivery and Cost improvements regionally across MD Supply Chain, and to insure the MD Supply Chain capabilities are strengthened in region to enable growth.
Plans and directs overall engineering activities across Medical Device Supply Chain within APAC Region. Coordinates the creation, development, design and improvement of platform technologies in conformance with established programs and objectives. Provides engineering advice and assistance to other departments as required. Responsible for managing all operations related to manufacturing, materials, facilities., distribution, engineering and maintenance to ensure smooth, continuous, cost effective and controlled manufacture of products in support of the business' forecasts and inventory goals. At this level, the position has a direct contribution to the development of business and/or functional strategies and typically, responsibility for managing multiple teams of professionals.
Monitors and revises process technologies and production flow to ensure successful transformation of raw materials into finished products. Plans and integrates effective transfer of new products into manufacturing process. Analyzes demand and establishes required inventory levels for raw material, work-in-progress and finished goods relative to demand. Develops manufacturing cost control reports, cost estimates, capacity planning, manpower and facility requirements. Establishes and reports on achievement of key performance metrics. Reviews quality control requirements and processes against production results. Initiates steps to address improvement areas. Participates in the development of business objectives, policies and procedures and disseminates to the department. Ensures the integration and execution of standard operating procedures and communications. Accountable for the assurance of proper operations of all manufacturing equipment and processes.
Experience and key competencies
Minimum of 10-12 years of experience
Minimum of 5 years in line management Supply Chain roles (Plan, Source, Make or Deliver)
In-depth knowledge and experience in technology development and transfer
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across all levels of the company and across the global supply chain.
Solid financial skills, including business case development.
Fosters an effective multi-functional, cross region, cross company team environment.
Ability to lead and influence others in a complex matrix organization.
Undergraduate degree in engineering, business, finance or supply chain disciplines
Graduate degree/studies in related discipline / MBA a plus
